Doda’s Young Athletes Shine at Inter-Zonal District-Level Boys’ All-Age group Athletics Meet.
Doda, August 20:-
Showcasing remarkable athletic talent, determination and competitive spirit, the Youth Services & Sports Department, District Doda, successfully organised the Inter-Zonal District-Level Boys’ All-Age Group Athletics Events, providing young sportspersons from across the district with a competitive platform to demonstrate their abilities and emerge as promising future champions.
The event was organised under the directions of the Director General, Youth Services & Sports, J&K, Smt. Anuradha Gupta, and Joint Director, Jammu, Sh. Inderjeet Singh Parihar, under the supervision of DYSSO Doda, Sh. Ashok Kumar.
The athletics meet witnessed enthusiastic participation from young athletes representing different zones of District Doda. The participants displayed exceptional speed, stamina, discipline, determination and sportsmanship, turning the competition into a vibrant showcase of grassroots sporting talent.
Gold Medal Winners
Boys Under-19 Running Events:
Abu Qasim, Adit Kumar, Saqib Hussain, Chander Bhan and Ajit delivered outstanding performances to secure Gold Medals, demonstrating impressive athletic ability and competitive excellence.
Boys Under-17 Running Events:
Waseem Raja, Nistish Kumar, Amir Singh, Ansh Beryan and Khalid Hussain clinched Gold Medals, impressing with their speed, endurance and determination on the track.
Boys Under-14 Running Events:
Rahul, Krish Manhas, Ayush Surmal and Anjeet Kumar emerged as Gold Medal winners, highlighting the strong potential and promising future of young athletes at the grassroots level.
The department emphasised that athletics competitions of this scale play a vital role in identifying hidden talent, providing young sportspersons with valuable competitive exposure and creating pathways for them to advance towards higher-level competitions.
Beyond medals and podium finishes, participation in sports helps inculcate discipline, confidence, resilience, teamwork and a positive competitive spirit among youth. Every race offers an opportunity to challenge oneself, learn from experience and strive for excellence.
