The Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSME), Development & Facilitation Office, Dimapur, in collaboration with the Pranabnanda Education Society (Career Guidance and Counselling Cell, Pranab College), organised a one-day programme on 18/08/2026 to promote entrepreneurship among students.Chaired by Miss Nungsangtsungla Longkumer (BA 5th Semester), the event opened with blessings and a welcome address by Swami Chinmayanandji Maharaj, Advisor, Pranabnanda Education Society, followed by remarks from Dr. Santosh Kumar, Principal, Pranab College.The technical sessions featured distinguished speakers: Mr. Kapil Rai, Assistant Director, MSME DFO Dimapur, who spoke on government schemes for entrepreneurs; Mr. Jethro Mesan, Functional Manager, District Industries Centre, Dimapur, who discussed local policies and district-level incentives Mr. Aolemba, Proprietor of Country Craft, Chumoukedima, who shared case studies and challenges of startups in Nagaland; and Mr. Lipokakum, Branch Manager, Central Bank of India, Dimapur, who explained financial modelling and loan processing. Each session was followed by interactive Q&A, enriching students with practical insights into enterprise development. A cultural touch was added with a special number presented by Miss Akumungla, BA 5th Semester, Department of Education.The programme concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Miss Rupa Dutta, Convenor, Career Guidance and Counselling Cell, Pranab College, followed by a photo session and refreshments.The event provided students with exposure to government schemes, local incentives, entrepreneurial challenges, and financial planning, encouraging them to view entrepreneurship as a viable career path
