A proud moment for LJD Public School at Fr George Hess Literary Events 2025 - Declamation, Mouma Kayal secured the second prize in the Junior level.

𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐘𝐨𝐠𝐚 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝐂𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧

L.J.D. Public School, Falta is delighted to celebrate International Yoga Day on 21st June 2025 within the school premises with learners from its Primary section. The initiative aims to nurture flexibility, body awareness and mindfulness in a joyful and age-appropriate way. The participants enthusiastically engaged in various yoga asanas under the guidance of trained instructors and teachers.

The session began with a brief introduction to the significance of Yoga Day, followed by prayer, warm-up exercises and a series of simple yet effective postures tailored for young learners. The children performed Bhujangasana, Vrikshasana, Trikonasana and Nadishodhana.

Teachers emphasized the value of incorporating yoga into daily life to promote a healthy lifestyle and stress-free living from an early age. The smiles and dedication on the children’s faces reflected their enjoyment and growing awareness of self-care through yoga.

The event concluded with a collective determination to practice yoga regularly and embrace its principles for a balanced mind and body.

A Workshop on SOCIAL MEDIA ADDICTION addressed
by GROUP CAPTAIN ARINDAM LAHIRI

ARINDAM LAHIRI is an Ex Indian Air Force Officer who has served in IAF for more than 32 years. He has been a Presidential Medal awardee and has also been a part of United Nations Peace keeping Force. He has served in operational capacity against terrorism in the Kashmir Valley and has received commendation from the Chief of Air Staff twice for his valour. He is a practicing counsellor and soft skill trainer and is associated with Don Bosco Ashalayam, Howrah and PRERANA, an NGO in Bengaluru, Karnataka.
He is also a co-founder of ‘Samsiddhi Soft -Skill Development Foundation’, a non profit educational venture in Kolkata.
