The department of Fuel and Mineral Engineering was founded in the year 1976 to address the processing issues of minerals (metallic, non-metallic and fuel). The department launched a B.Tech. programme in Mineral Engineering in 1984. The unique programme has produced graduates who are leaders in the top organisations of the country. From time to time, the department has been organising various training and professional development programs.
