🌙✨ A BEAUTIFUL NIGHT SKY SHOW — SEPTEMBER 20!

On September 20, 2026, the Moon shared the evening sky with two bright stars of the Summer Triangle — golden-white Altair and blue-white Deneb. 🌌⭐

These bright stars are easy to recognize from dark locations, while the Moon adds an extra beautiful glow to the scene. The three objects only appeared together from our viewpoint on Earth — they are actually at very different distances in space.

📸 It was a beautiful opportunity for skywatchers and night-sky photographers, especially under clear, dark skies.

There are still four beautiful Full Moons waiting for us in the final months of 2026. 🌌🌙 Save these dates and keep an eye on the night sky!

🍂 SEPTEMBER 26 — HARVEST MOON
September’s Full Moon is known as the Harvest Moon, the traditional name for the Full Moon closest to the September equinox. It can look especially beautiful as it rises near the horizon. 🌾✨

🍁 OCTOBER 26 — HUNTER’S MOON
October brings the Hunter’s Moon, another traditional seasonal name. Look toward the eastern horizon around moonrise for a beautiful autumn-night view. 🌕🍂

🦫 NOVEMBER 24 — BEAVER MOON
November’s Full Moon is traditionally called the Beaver Moon. It will also be a supermoon, meaning the Full Moon occurs close to the Moon’s nearest approach to Earth. 🌕✨

❄️ DECEMBER 24 — COLD MOON
The final Full Moon of the year is traditionally known as the Cold Moon. In the U.S., the exact Full Moon date falls on December 23 in several time zones because of the time difference. ❄️🌙

September 26 — Harvest Moon
October 26 — Hunter’s Moon
November 24 — Beaver Moon
December 24 — Cold Moon in India / December 23 in much of the U.S.

No telescope is required to enjoy a Full Moon. Find a clear view of the horizon, step outside around moonrise, and you may even get a beautiful photo. 📸🌌

The final months of 2026 will bring four beautiful Full Moons, each carrying a traditional seasonal name and its own story. 🌌

🌕 **September 26 — Harvest Moon**
The Harvest Moon is the Full Moon closest to the September equinox. It traditionally marks the season of harvesting and will rise near Saturn in the evening sky. NASA also notes that faint Neptune will be nearby, although binoculars or a telescope are needed to see it. 🔭🪐

🌕 **October 26 — Hunter’s Moon**
Traditionally associated with the season of hunting and preparing food for the colder months ahead. 1

🌕 **November 24 — Beaver Moon**
This traditional name is linked to the time when beavers were preparing for winter and retreating into their lodges.

🌕 **December 24 — Cold Moon**
The final Full Moon of 2026 is traditionally associated with winter’s cold and the long, dark nights of December.

📅 **2026 Full Moon dates:**
• September 26 — Harvest Moon
• October 26 — Hunter’s Moon
• November 24 — Beaver Moon
• December 24 — Cold Moon

One small correction to the image: it lists the December Cold Moon as **December 23**, but in India the exact Full Moon occurs on **December 24 at about 6:58 AM**. The date can differ by time zone because the exact lunar phlse occurs at the same moment worldwide.

✨🌟 VENUS AT ITS BRIGHTEST — SEPTEMBER 18, 2026!

Look toward the western sky after sunset tonight! Venus is reaching its peak brilliance, making it one of the most striking objects to see in the evening sky. 🌌🔭

Venus shines so brightly because it is relatively close to Earth and its cloud-covered atmosphere reflects a large amount of sunlight. At peak brilliance, the planet can easily stand out even from areas with some light pollution, although a clear horizon will give you the best view.

You won’t need a telescope to spot Venus. Simply find an open location with a clear western horizon and look shortly after sunset, while the sky is still transitioning from twilight to darkness. A telescope or binoculars can reveal Venus’s changing phase, but never use optical equipment while the Sun is above the horizon.

🌌💚 TWO BEAUTIFUL SKY EVENTS TO WATCH — SEPTEMBER 17, 2026!

Skywatchers have two reasons to look up tonight. The Northern Lights may be visible across high-latitude regions, while the crescent Moon is passing near Antares, the bright reddish star marking the heart of Scorpius. ✨

💚 NORTHERN LIGHTS
Aurora activity may create glowing curtains of green, pink, and purple across parts of the far-northern sky. The best chances are generally under dark skies, away from city lights, with a clear view toward the northern horizon. Aurora visibility can change quickly, so a forecast is never a guarantee.

🌙⭐ MOON & ANTARES
The waxing crescent Moon will appear near reddish Antares in the evening sky. Look toward the southern sky after sunset to find this beautiful pairing, with the stars of Scorpius adding even more to the scene.
