On the occasion of the 80th Independence Day, the 1 SBSC Coy, 4 Delhi Battalion, National Cadet Corps (NCC), Shaheed Bhagat Singh College, hosted the Independence Day ceremony in collaboration with the college administration.
The celebrations commenced with a Welcome Ceremony, followed by the Flag Hoisting Ceremony and Paying Respects to Shaheed Bhagat Singh.
The ceremony was graced by the presence of the entire college administration, with Principal Prof. Arun Kumar Attree delivering a moving and inspiring address on this momentous occasion.
The programme was further enriched by a poem presented by Meraki – The Bilingual Creative Writing Society and a musical performance by Audiophile – The Music Society of Shaheed Bhagat Singh College.
Shaheed Bhagat Singh College extends its warmest wishes to all students, faculty members, and non-teaching staff on the occasion of the 80th Independence Day.

Shaheed Bhagat Singh College actively participated in the Partition Horrors Remembrance Day programme organised by the University of Delhi on 14 August 2026 at the Multipurpose Hall, Sports Complex. The programme, organised with the efforts of Centre For Independence And Partition Studies(CIPS), University of Delhi, provided a meaningful platform to remember Partition survivors, acknowledge their experiences, and preserve their stories for generations to come.
The programme was graced by Shri C. P. Radhakrishnan, Hon’ble Vice President of India, as the Chief Guest. It brought together the University community to reflect upon the experiences of Partition and its enduring historical significance.
Our NSS volunteers contributed to the arrangements, while Principal Prof.Arun kumar Attree and faculty members of the College extended their support towards the successful conduct of the programme. The occasion was further marked by the anchoring by Prof. Shikha Gupta II, Public Information Officer (PIO), Shaheed Bhagat Singh College.
A meaningful occasion of remembrance, reflection, and collective engagement with our shared history.

The 1 Shaheed Bhagat Singh College Coy, NCC participated in the Har Ghar Tiranga Drive on 12 August 2026, carrying the spirit of patriotism, unity and national pride.
Through this initiative, our NCC cadets came together to spread the message of “Har Ghar Tiranga” and encourage citizens to celebrate the pride and honour associated with our National Flag.
The drive reflected the core values of the NCC — Unity, Discipline and Dedication — while reaffirming our collective commitment to the nation.
