Being a manager is a taxing task. And now imagine managing a country of 1.2 billion people.
People say it requires passion, hard-work and perseverance.
But to ace your responsibilities you should also have competition, aggression and wits.
These are just needles in the haystack of qualities a manager should possess. A smart manager isn’t enough. He needs to be sly. He needs to be a hustler.
Coordination of tasks, building a good brand image (might or might not include 1235377 trips abroad) and even crisis management. But a manager always has to rise to the challenge and save the day.
Managers often make promises, but fulfilling them makes the ‘Best Manager’. He is a lone-wolf, taking upon the challenges, fearlessly.

Mann ki baat or Man(ager) ki baat, both need to be on point. Politics is a managerial Xanadu. You can’t have the former without the latter.

If the manager isn't good at his job, the company fails, let's not let this country fail.

‘The problem with political jokes is that they get elected’- Henry Cate. From power to parties, from ballots to campaigns, Presidents and Prime Ministers all over the world use strategic Politics and marketing tactics, many a time, polluting the democratic process and transforming it into a dirty power play.

While there is much more such as poverty and education which needs to be focused on all you hear is -
‘Mandir vahi banega'
Introducing Mandir- the age-old yet a timeless product desired by all.
Yogi Adityanath promised a Ram Temple but all he has given is a new name to Faizabad and a proposed statue, a bait to lure the voters. Now that’s a marketing ploy like none other.

The political scenario in Uttar Pradesh is rampant with renaming stratagems- first with the iconic railway station Mughal Sarai and now with the historic city of Allahabad- will go on under the leadership of our desi Vin Diesel.

Shakespeare might hold opposing views but a true Marketer like Yogi knows, it's ‘all’ in the name.

ALLEGATION!! ALLIANCE!! DIPLOMACY!! BEAUCRACY!! SCANDAL!! INTEGRITY!!

The state of Indian politics is symbolic of the characteristics of our political leaders. ‘Hugplomacy’ is the new form of diplomacy. Our leadership is dynamic, they learn from movies where our “Pappu is learning from Priya”. Politics is a battleground with weapons called words. They are used to tarnish images, whitewash them and twist and turn everything. The Public Relations is a growing field where reputations are made and destroyed. The thorns or beautiful petals are the sides of the same rose. It is the hunger for TRP that only one side of the rose is shown to the public. A Harvard and Trinity scholar “apparently” promised a “potato to gold” formula. Who said politics is just adherence to the Constitution. Bad things. It’s a lot of good and bad things that they showin’ and showin’ and showin’. Public says, “Should we believe you?” PR says, “Only partly, I only love my recruiter and his image, I’m sorry”.

Indian Political arena is a battlefield. A ground where people are dubious but dutiful; Where things that matter are hugs and names. People think politics is about welfare and prosperity but really, it’s all just a game.

Now the battlefield buzzes again and no one knows who may reign. We need people who think on their feet, with sharp minds and a quick wit. We want someone who reads in between the lines, with a corporate brain and a gambler’s heart. Come only if you can take the risk, for it ain’t a place for the weak willed.

A saffron coloured corporation holds the baton right now, but not for long because the judgement day gets closer as we speak and a corporate strategy is all we need.
