Gyan Mandir Public School, Naraina Vihar, hosted its much-awaited Open Day 2025 based on the compelling theme ā€˜Learning Beyond Boundaries’, offering a dynamic showcase of innovation, interdisciplinary learning and student-driven exploration.
The occasion was honoured by the presence of Ms. I. Margaret Catherine, Director (IT & Projects), CBSE, as Chief Guest, and Rotarian Vir Philip as Guest of Honour. Chairperson Mr. Prashant Khosla, Vice President Mr. Vijitashva Khosla, along with several eminent Rotarians and dignitaries, also graced the event. All distinguished guests were welcomed and taken on a curated tour of the exhibits, which reflected the school’s bold shift towards future-ready, experiential education.
The day began with the traditional lamp-lighting ceremony, followed by a welcome address by Principal Ms. Rajesh Bano Preeya. The theme ā€˜Learning Beyond Boundaries’ was her brainchild, reflecting her progressive vision for education. In her speech, she emphasized the need to move beyond rote learning and nurture learners who are thinkers, creators and problem-solvers. She highlighted how meaningful education must inspire exploration, imagination and connection to real-world issues. The cultural segment featured a soul-stirring folk medley and a powerful dance performance showcasing how transformative education uplifts communities. These performances set the stage for a captivating exhibition of student projects spanning Science, Technology, Humanities and Environmental Innovation — from cutting-edge AI models to ingenious eco-friendly solutions. In alignment with its ethos of responsible citizenship, the school also organised a Blood Donation Camp and a Mega Health Check-Up Camp in collaboration with the Rotary Club of Delhi Heights — reinforcing its commitment to social impact and community well-being.
The Chief Guest lauded the commendable efforts of the school in fostering creativity and experiential learning among students. She expressed her delight on discovering that all the exhibits were entirely conceptualised and crafted by the students themselves, with nothing being outsourced or purchased from the market. She remarked that this hands-on, student-driven approach was a true reflection of the spirit of the National Education Policy 2020. Witnessing NEP 2020 come alive within the school's corridors, she said, was both inspiring and heartening.
The event culminated in resounding appreciation from the dignitaries and parents alike, reaffirming Gyan Mandir Public School’s stature as a forward-thinking institution where tradition seamlessly blends with innovation and education becomes a powerful force for transformation.
