The 79th Independence Day was celebrated with immense patriotism and enthusiasm at school campus on the morning of 14th August 2025. The school campus was adorned in the tricoloursand the spirit of freedom and unity echoed in every corner.
The celebration commenced with the flag hoisting ceremony, a moment that filled every heart with pride and reverence. As the National Flag unfurled high, it was accompanied by the powerful singing of the National Anthem by all students, staffand guestscreating an atmosphere of unity and devotion to the nation.
Following this, the Chief GuestProf. Jyoti Chawla and Guest of Honour Dr. Suchita Malik were given a warm and respectful welcome by the revered Chairman Sir Mr. Prashant Khosla and honoured Principal Maāam Mrs. Rajesh Banopreeya.Their presence graced the occasion and uplifted the patriotic spirit of the event.
The celebration continued with a melodious patriotic song performed by the school choir. The powerful lyrics and harmonies reflected the pride and sacrifices associated with Indiaās independence, leaving the audience deeply moved.
The revered Principal Maāam addressed the gathering with heartfelt words that struck a deep chord with everyone present. She spoke about the true essence of Independence Day, not just as a celebration of freedom, but as a reminder of the sacrifices that made it possible. Maāam encouraged the students to value this hard-earned freedom and to grow into responsible, honestand committed citizens. Her words inspired all to reflect on their role in building a united and progressive India.
A special moment in the program was the āMartyr Major Dr. Ashwini Kumar Kanav Shourya Prize Distributionā, a tribute to the supreme sacrifice of Major Kanav.This award is presented to outstanding students for their achievements in academics and co-curricular activities. This segment not only honoured excellence but also instilled a strong sense of patriotism among students.Vikram Dahiya of class XI was the proud recipient of this yearās award.
Adding emotional depth to the event, the sister of Martyr Major Dr. Ashwini Kumar Kanav,Dr. Suchita Malik, delivered a heartfelt speech. Her words, filled with pride and sorrow, paid tribute to her brotherās courage and dedication to the nation. Her emotional address deeply touched everyone present, serving as a reminder of the sacrifices made for our freedom.
This was followed by a vibrant and beautifully choreographed Nritya Natika (Dance Drama) performed by students. Through graceful movements and expressive storytelling, the performance depicted India's journey to independence and celebrated the rich cultural heritage of the country.
The Chief Guestās address was another highlight of the program. In her speech, Dr. Jyoti Chawla praised the efforts of the school in organizing such a meaningful celebration and encouraged the students to follow the path of discipline, serviceand love for the nation.
The event concluded with a formal Vote of Thanks, expressing gratitude to the dignitaries, guests, teachers, studentsand all who contributed to making the celebration a memorable and inspiring experience.

Gyan Mandir Public School, Naraina Vihar, hosted its much-awaited Open Day 2025 based on the compelling theme āLearning Beyond Boundariesā, offering a dynamic showcase of innovation, interdisciplinary learning and student-driven exploration.
The occasion was honoured by the presence of Ms. I. Margaret Catherine, Director (IT & Projects), CBSE, as Chief Guest, and Rotarian Vir Philip as Guest of Honour. Chairperson Mr. Prashant Khosla, Vice President Mr. Vijitashva Khosla, along with several eminent Rotarians and dignitaries, also graced the event. All distinguished guests were welcomed and taken on a curated tour of the exhibits, which reflected the schoolās bold shift towards future-ready, experiential education.
The day began with the traditional lamp-lighting ceremony, followed by a welcome address by Principal Ms. Rajesh Bano Preeya. The theme āLearning Beyond Boundariesā was her brainchild, reflecting her progressive vision for education. In her speech, she emphasized the need to move beyond rote learning and nurture learners who are thinkers, creators and problem-solvers. She highlighted how meaningful education must inspire exploration, imagination and connection to real-world issues. The cultural segment featured a soul-stirring folk medley and a powerful dance performance showcasing how transformative education uplifts communities. These performances set the stage for a captivating exhibition of student projects spanning Science, Technology, Humanities and Environmental Innovation ā from cutting-edge AI models to ingenious eco-friendly solutions. The showcase reflected not only the students' creativity and conceptual understanding but also echoed Chairperson Mr. Prashant Khoslaās visionary belief in nurturing future-ready learners equipped with life skills, critical thinking and a strong sense of responsibility towards society.
In alignment with its ethos of responsible citizenship, the school also organised a Blood Donation Camp and a Mega Health Check-Up Camp in collaboration with the Rotary Club of Delhi Heights ā reinforcing its commitment to social impact and community well-being.
The Chief Guest lauded the commendable efforts of the school in fostering creativity and experiential learning among students. She expressed her delight on discovering that all the exhibits were entirely conceptualised and crafted by the students themselves, with nothing being outsourced or purchased from the market. She remarked that this hands-on, student-driven approach was a true reflection of the spirit of the National Education Policy 2020. Witnessing NEP 2020 come alive within the school's corridors, she said, was both inspiring and heartening.
The event culminated in resounding appreciation from the dignitaries and parents alike, reaffirming Gyan Mandir Public Schoolās stature as a forward-thinking institution where tradition seamlessly blends with innovation and education becomes a powerful force for transformation.

32 cadets from our school participated in the 10-day NCC Annual Training Camp, organized by Group B, Delhi Directorate. Over 500 cadets engaged in a variety of activities including drill, weapon handling, yoga, map reading, and leadership sessions.
Special lectures on health, road safety, disaster management, and the Agniveer scheme added great value. Cultural evenings and competitions brought energy and joy to the camp.

Three Class IX students ā Vanshika, Laksh*ta Nehra, and Vrinda ā accompanied by Dr. Rita Yadav, visited an educational exhibition organized by the Home Department, GNCTD. The event celebrated the first anniversary of the enactment of three major laws: Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, Bharatiya Nagarika Suraksha Sanhita, and Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam.

Gyan Mandir Public School hosted a workshop for Classes XI and XII on vocabulary building, focusing on strategies for competitive exams like CUET and CAT. Mr. Pawan Kumar shared techniques such as root word analysis, flashcards, and vocabulary apps. Interactive activities and a quiz made the session engaging. The workshop concluded with a Q&A and a token of appreciation was presented by Principal Ms. R. Banopreeya. Students found the session motivating and informative.
