Marion Play Home is a premier institution in Trivandrum, Kerala, for children needing special care. Martha Mariam Samajam of the Malankara Orthodox Church in the Trivandrum Diocese decided in 1983 to register a Society to coordinate its charity activities and consequent to this, the Martha Mariam Social Service Society was formed. Gradually, the idea to set up an organization to provide special tr

aining and offer rehabilitation activities to mentally challenged children was developed into the establishment of Marion Play Home. Geevarghese Mar Dioscoros, the first Metropolitan of the Trivandrum Diocese of the Malankara Orthodox Church, was the driving force behind this noble project. The School started functioning in 1990 in a rented building with 4 students and 2 members of staff. Today Marion Play Home is a fully fledged school with 160 students and 32 staff members, operating from its own campus at Mannanthala, Trivandrum. The school has limited hostel accommodation for 50 boys and girls. The rest are day students who are brought to the school in the morning and taken back to their homes in the school bus. Most of the students are from economically weaker sections of our Society and no fee is charged to parents who cannot afford it.

*Hope Project - Visit to Marion Play Home*:

Youth Movement, St. George Orthodox Syrian Cathedral, under the leadership of Vicar,
Very Rev. Mathew Abraham Cor-Episcopa, visited Marion Play Home,interacted with the students, and donated equipment for the activities of intellectually challenged students at the home.
Rev. Fr. George Varghese, Administrator, Mrs. Anuja Sreejith, HM were present at the event. Youth Movement was represented by its Secretary Ipe Joseph and Treasurer Abel Sam Shibu.

ജൂലൈ 28 ന് രക്ഷകർത്തൃ യോഗവും പരിശീന പരിപാടിയും മരിയോൻ പ്ലേ ഹോം സ്കൂളിൽ ഓഡിറ്റോറിയത്തിൽ വെച്ച് നടത്തപെട്ടു. സ്കൂൾ അഡ്മിനിസ്ട്രേറ്റർ ഫാ. ജോർജ് വർഗീസ് , സെക്രട്ടറി ശ്രീമതി. മറിയാമ്മ ബേബി, ട്രഷറർ ശ്രീമതി. സൂസൻ തോമസ്, PAID തിരുവനന്തപുരം ജില്ല പ്രസിഡന്റ്‌ ശ്രീ. മണിക്കുട്ടൻ, സ്കൂൾ PTA പ്രസിഡന്റ്‌ ശ്രീ. ബാബുരാജ്, പ്രിൻസിപ്പൽ ശ്രീമതി. അനുജ ശ്രീജിത്ത്‌ എന്നിവർ ചേർന്നു ഭദ്രദീപം തെളിയിച്ചു. Behavioral Therapist മിസ്സ്‌. അനഘയും , ഭിന്നശേഷി അവകാശങ്ങളും, ആനുകൂല്യങ്ങളും എന്ന വിഷയം ശ്രീ.മണിക്കൂട്ടനും ക്ലാസുകൾ നയിച്ചു.

പരിശുദ്ധ കാതോലിക്ക ബാവ തിരുമേനി ജൂലൈ 15,ബുധനാഴ്ച സ്കൂൾ സന്ദർശിക്കുകയും കുട്ടികളോടൊപ്പം സമയം ചെലവഴിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു. മലങ്കര സഭയ്ക്ക് ഇത്തരത്തിൽ ഒരു സ്കൂൾ ഉണ്ടായതിൽ അഭിമാനിക്കുന്നുവെന്നും ഇത്രയും മികച്ച രീതിയിൽ ഉള്ള മറ്റൊരു സ്ഥാപനം നമ്മുടെ സഭയിലോ മറ്റ് വിഭാഗങ്ങളിൽ നിന്നോ താൻ കണ്ടിട്ടില്ല എന്നും ബാവ തിരുമേനി പറഞ്ഞു. ഈ സ്കൂളിൻറെ പ്രധാന ചുമതലക്കാരനായതിൽ ഏറ്റവും അഭിമാനിക്കുന്നുവെന്നും ഹൃദയം നിറഞ്ഞ് ഏവരെയും അഭിനന്ദിക്കുന്നുവെന്നും ബാവാ തിരുമേനി പറഞ്ഞു.
തുടർന്ന് എക്സിക്യൂട്ടീവ് കമ്മിറ്റിയും പൊതുയോഗവും നടത്തി.
പരിശുദ്ധ ബാവ തിരുമേനിയോട് ഹൃദയം നിറഞ്ഞ നന്ദി സ്കൂളിന്റെ പേരിൽ അറിയിക്കുന്നു.🙏🙏🙏
