Participate in the Google India 'Code to Learn' contest 2018

The ‘Code to Learn’ is a contest being organized by Google India to promote coding tools Scratch and App Inventor, for students which help them learn the principles of computer programming. These tools have been developed at MIT, USA and both are free and open-source to all. By using these tools, students can create animations, stories, games and even Android apps. Through this contest, students will not only learn these modern tools but also develop an interest in programming.

School Teachers of students in classes 5 to 10 can nominate 5 students per class and register.
Students create a project using Scratch or App Inventor - fun and cool tools created by MIT.
Projects can be submitted up to 31-August-2018 end of the day.

Happy Swami Vivekanand Jyanti, it's his 153rd birth anniversary.
To honour Swami Vivekananda, National Youth Day is celebrated every year on January 12 since 1985.

The philosophy of Vivekananda and his ideals are a great source of inspiration for the Indian youth. So, it was declared that his birthday will be observed as National Youth Day.

Follow his ideology and incorporate his philosophy in your daily life.

He was a great former President of India, a brilliant scientist, a distinguished writer and a motivating teacher. We believe this post will be insufficient to define all the qualities and achievements of such an inspiring personality. He was an extraordinary visionary and his remarkable contributions to the space and defense programs has made our country proud. He was known for his motivational speeches and interaction with the student community and very popular for his humility, sincerity, dedication and love for children.
We will always remember him in our hearts with his immortal legacy.

India is celebrating Gandhi Jayanti by taking part in 'Swachh Bharat' (Clean India), a mass movement to realize Mahatma Gandhi's dream of a clean India by 2019 when the country will celebrate 150th birth anniversary of the Father of the Nation.
Also today it is the Jayanti of another greatest national leader who was India’s second Prime Minister, Lal Bahadur Shastri who coined the phrase ‘Jai Jawaan Jai Kisaan'.
