Although we’ve seen in the news the destruction of Palestine due to conflict, we want to focus today on how beautiful and rich in culture Palestine is!

Pictured is Hisham's Palace at Khirbat Al Mafjar (the ruins of Mafjar) is an Umayyad structure that is listed among the last of the surviving antiquities. During the Umayyad period, the site was comprised of a palace, an audience hall with a thermal bath, a mosque, a monumental fountain within a perimeter wall, two main gates, and likely an elite residence. The first three principal buildings were arranged along the west side of a common forecourt, with a pool covered by a pavilion at its center.

Surif Women’s Cooperative is known for their distinct style, using cream colored Manipuri cotton fabric. The embroidery patterns are produced by a system of coughing threads. Surif’s designs are adapted from traditional Palestinian dresses and reflect the heritage from different regions of Palestine! Now that’s talent 😍

Sunbula is committed to promoting Palestinian women’s rights and economic empowerment. They have grown to become a trusted provider of the finest quality Palestinian handicrafts while directly supporting hundreds of women and their families economically and socially through income generation and development work.
