Gluteus Maximus & TFL Stretching for Low Back Relief.

Why These Muscles Matter in Low Back Pain

1️⃣ Gluteus Maximus

Primary hip extensor

Controls pelvis during walking, lifting, and posture

Weak or tight glutes → pelvis tilts forward → increases lordosis → lumbar overload

•Hold 20–30 seconds × 2–3 reps

Benefits:
• Releases posterior hip tension
• Reduces compensatory lumbar extension
• Improves pelvic alignment

2️⃣ Tensor Fasciae Latae (TFL)

Flexes, abducts & internally rotates hip.
Connects into IT band, influencing knee & pelvic alignment.
Tight TFL → pelvic imbalance → increased stress on lumbar spine.

• Hold 20–30 seconds × 2–3 reps.

Benefits:

Releases lateral hip tightness.
Reduces ITB tension.
Improves pelvic symmetry → reduces low-back load.
