Mr. Biden told the COP27 conference that the "very life of the planet" is at stake in the climate crisis and gave an assurance the United States is on track to slash carbon emissions.

The sea-side, port city of Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt, is hosting over 45,000 registered participants as part of the 27th edition of the UN-Conference of Parties (UN-COP). The participants include representatives of the 195 member-countries of the UN-COP, business persons, scientists, and members of indigenous and local communities and activists.

A five-judge constitution bench of Chief Justice UU Lalit and Justices Dinesh Maheshwari, S Ravindra Bhat, Bela M Trivedi and JB Pardiwala, in a 3-2 verdict, held that the provisions of the concerned amendment is not in violation of the Constitution.

The fiscal deficit for the April to September period touched 37.3% of annual estimates, official data showed on Monday, as the government spent more on fertiliser, food and fuel subsidies.

Production of eight core infrastructure sectors expanded by 7.9% in September this is the highest in three months .In September last year, the growth rate stood at 5.4%. It was 4.1% in August. The previous high was in June when the output expanded by 13.1%.

Core sectors include the production growth of eight infrastructure sectors I.e. coal, crude oil, natural gas, refinery products, fertilizer, steel, cement and electricity.

Russian President Vladimir Putin, in his annual address to the Valdai Discussion Club, a Moscow-based think tank, on October 27 praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s independent foreign policy, saying that a lot has been done under his leadership in India.

He mentioned "A lot has been done under the leadership of PM Modi. He is a patriot of his country. His idea of 'Make in India' matters both economic wise and in ethics. The future belongs to India, it can be proud of the fact that it's the largest democracy in the world".
