Clean Air Project in India is a SDC - TERI Initiative to improve air quality, while contributing to
TERI in partnership with Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) for the ‘Clean Air Project in India (CAP India)’ has launched a new initiative which aims to support India’s efforts to improve air quality, while contributing to issues related to public health, environment and climate change mitigation. This project is spread across 4 cities-Lucknow, Kanpur, Nashik and Pune and schools across these cities are an important stakeholder of this project.

📢 TERI announces ‘Clean Air Action Projects’ - Projects which have to be implemented by teachers and students to promote school leadership in the field of air quality and to intensify knowledge and action in air quality.

A Capacity building workshop on air pollution was organised at Eklavya Model Residential School, Nashik, Maharashtra. More than 250 students participated in the workshop which was addressed by Mr. Manoj Ghodepatil, Deputy Municipal Commissioner, Nashik and Mr. Jonathan Demenge, Head of Cooperation,SDC , New Delhi in the presence of Mr. Andre Daniel Mueller, Deputy Director, SDC, Switzerland, Mr. Anand Shukla, Senior Thematic Advisor, SDC, New Delhi, Dr Arindam Datta, Senior Fellow, Earth Science & Climate Change, TERI and Ms. Neha, Senior Fellow & Area Convenor, Environment Education and Awareness, TERI.

The event is a run-up to the Government of Uttar Pradesh's 'Conference of Panchayat' scheduled for June 5, 2022. The event aims to create awareness and ensure the implementation of action plans related to mitigation and at the level of Gram Panchayats.
