37वीं महारानी गम्भीर कुमारी स्मृति अन्तर्विद्यालय हिन्दी वाद-विवाद प्रतियोगिता।
दिनांक 22 अगस्त 2026 को कैम्ब्रियन हॉल, देहरादून के द्वारा 37वीं महारानी गम्भीर कुमारी समृति अन्तर्विद्यालय हिन्दी वाद-विवाद प्रतियोगिता का आयोजन किया गया। प्रतियोगिता में शहर के प्रतिष्ठित 13 विद्यालयों ने भाग लिया, जिसमें सैट जोज्फस एकेडमी, सेंट थॉमस कॉलेज, वाइनबर्ग एलन मसूरी,दून इंटरनैशनल स्कूल, द एशियन स्कूल, टांस ब्रिज ,द ओएसिस, ग्रेस एकेडमी, हिल्टन्स स्कूल, ऐन मैरी स्कूल, सेवन ओक्स, टोंस ब्रिज और कैम्ब्रियन हॉल थे।
वाद-विवाद का विषय था --" युवा पीढ़ी के लिए सेवा से बड़ा सेल्फ़ी हो गया है"
कार्यक्रम की विशिष्ट अतिथि विद्यालय की निर्देशिका श्रीमती सोनम राणा थीं।
प्रतियोगिता में निर्णायक मंडल में डॉ ज्योति श्रीवास्तव , संस्थापक अध्यक्ष ( नव - विहान) । दूसरी निर्णायिका श्रीमती अलका भार्गव , सेवानिवृत्त (ऐन मैरी स्कूल), तीसरी निर्णायिका डॉ रूपम चौधरी, सेवानिवृत्त ।
निर्णायकों द्वारा प्रतिभागियों के आत्मविश्वास और जोश की मुक्त कंठ से प्रशंसा की गई।
कार्यक्रम का संचालन प्रिया गुप्ता द्वारा किया गया। वाद विवाद की सभापति आकांक्षा गौड़ थी जिन्होंने पूरे आत्मविश्वास के साथ वाद-विवाद का संचालन किया। विषय के पक्ष और विपक्ष में प्रतिभागियों ने अपने-अपने विचार पूरे आत्मविश्वास और दृढ़ता के साथ रखे। निर्णायक मंडल द्वारा प्रतिभागियों की प्रतिभा को सराहना की गई। प्रतियोगिता में कॉर्डिनेटर्स श्रीमती कविता जोसेफ़ , श्रीमती बीना बिस्वास तथा डीन ऑफ एकेडमिक श्रीमती ऐनी सिंह उपस्थित थीं।
विद्यालय की निर्देशिका सोनम राणा द्वारा निर्णायकों को स्मृति चिन्ह प्रदान किए गए। हिंदी अध्यापिका नंदा केस्टवाल द्वारा विशिष्ट अतिथि तथा विभिन्न विद्यालयों से आये अध्यापकों को धन्यवाद ज्ञापित किया गया।
प्रतियोगिता का परिणाम इस प्रकार रहा।
व्यक्तिगत स्तर पर -
सिमरन कौर (टोंस ब्रिज) तथा वैष्णवी (दून इंटरनेशनल) ने संयुक्त रूप से प्रथम स्थान प्राप्त किया ।
द्वितीय स्थान पर राशि गौतम (हिल्टन स्कूल) तथा जन्नत कौर (टोंस ब्रिज) में tie रहा।
तृतीय स्थान में भी दो प्रतिभागियों में tie रहा। स्वस्तिका सती (ऐन मैरी) तथा रिद्धि जायसवाल (टोंस ब्रिज) ने संयुक्त रूप से स्थान प्राप्त किया।
सर्वश्रेष्ठ प्रतिवादक सिमरन कौर (सेंट थॉमस) रही।
विजेता विद्यालय टोंस ब्रिज को चलवैजयंती प्रदान की गई।

Cambrian Hall proudly hosted the 37th Maharaja Judha Shumshere Memorial Inter-School English Debate on 21 August 2026, bringing together twelve of Dehradun’s leading schools for an inspiring showcase of eloquence, critical thinking and intellectual agility.
The competition, conducted in an extempore debate format, truly tested the participants’ spontaneity and presence of mind, with the topic being revealed just one hour before the debate. The young speakers rose to the challenge with well-reasoned arguments, compelling presentations and sharp rebuttals.
The event concluded with Ann Mary School emerging as the Winning Team and St. Joseph’s Academy securing the Best Team Runner-Up position. Kavya Joshi of Ann Mary School was adjudged Best Speaker and also won the Best Rebuttal award, while Navya Joshi of St. Joseph’s Academy was named First Runner-Up Speaker. Meet Rawat of Cambrian Hall secured the Third Best Speaker position.
The event was made even more special as Principal Mr. Bunyan congratulated all the participants and the Principals of the participating schools for their support. Director Mrs. Sonam Rana presented mementos to the esteemed judges and the winners, adding a fitting conclusion to the occasion.

The PPSA Under-17 Boys’ Football Final at the Doon Riverside Campus delivered an edge-of-the-seat contest, with both teams battling fiercely until the final whistle. Played on the campus’s impressive ground and excellent sporting facilities, the match lived up to the excitement of a championship final.
Our school was the first to score in the opening half when Prashant Mehra of Class XII found the back of the net, giving his team a well-deserved lead. Tons Bridge, however, came back strongly in the second half and scored the equaliser, setting up a tense and nail-biting moment.
With the score locked at 1–1 and the pressure mounting, Brahmadeep Thakur emerged as the hero for our school, scoring the decisive goal to put his team ahead 2–1. The final moments saw both sides fighting hard, but no further goals were scored, sealing a memorable victory for our boys.
The occasion was further graced by the presence of President Sir, Director Madam and Principal Sir, who were present at the venue to encourage and support the young footballers.

Independence Day Celebration at Cambrian Hall
Cambrian Hall School celebrated Independence Day with great patriotic fervour and pride, commemorating the spirit of freedom and the sacrifices that shaped our nation. The programme was graced by the presence of the Principal, Mr. Ferdinand John Bunyan, the Dean of Academics and Activities, Mrs. Annie Singh, and the Chief Guest, Mr. Krishna Shumshere JB Rana.
The celebration beautifully blended patriotism with creativity. The choir performance was one of the highlights of the programme, filling the atmosphere with a deep sense of national pride. The captivating dance drama further brought alive the spirit of India’s freedom, leaving the audience inspired and moved.
The Principal’s address reflected on the significance of Independence Day and encouraged students to uphold the values of responsibility, unity and service to the nation. The programme also included the felicitation of the school toppers, recognising their dedication, perseverance and academic excellence.
The celebration concluded on a proud and inspiring note, reminding everyone that the true essence of independence lies in becoming responsible citizens who contribute meaningfully to the progress of the nation.
