Our beloved Aunty Butlerwhite passes away
One of our best remembered and most admired teachers in Cambrian Hall, the ever graceful, Mrs Dulcie Butlerwhite, fondly addressed as Aunty Butlerwhite, sadly passed away this morning after her battle with cancer.
Aunty Butlerwhite was an iconic figure at Cambrian Hall, the school she taught at from the beginning of her teaching career in the early 60's up until the 90's.
Her dignified persona, a warm smile to answer any student's question, her gentleness and caring manner made her the most approachable and loved teacher at school.
She taught in the same caring style, with a great understanding of the children, with kindness and a great deal of patience.
Her presence in the school premises after the school hours was always a comforting sight for the boarders who looked upon her as a motherly figure.
Of her own admission she once remarked that the years spent in Cambrian Hall were her best. We, collectively have the same recollection that our years spent in Cambrian Hall in her guidance and care as our Aunty Butlerwhite remain the best ever.
God rest our Aunty Butlerwhite in eternal peace. She will be dearly missed by us all.
The funeral procession will leave from Carman School, DEHRADUN this evening around 4PM For Chandra Nagar Grave yard.
