The Darjeeling Hill Institute of Technology & Management (DHITM) recently conducted its Central Mentor-Mentee Meeting for 1st-Year (2nd Semester) students from the CSE/AI-ML, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, and HMCT departments, with geotagged media captured between May 20th and 22nd, 2026.

The initiative aimed to create an open platform for students to interact directly with their mentors, discuss academic progress, share personal challenges, and provide feedback on campus facilities and infrastructure. Students from all departments actively participated, highlighting their learning experiences, career aspirations, and areas where additional support was needed.

The sessions enabled mentors to gain valuable insights into student development while identifying concerns that could impact academic performance and overall well-being. Based on the feedback received, immediate directives were issued to address key academic and infrastructure-related requirements.

Regular mentor-mentee interactions play a vital role in strengthening communication, building student confidence, and creating a supportive learning environment. Through such initiatives, DHITM continues to reinforce its commitment to student success, holistic development, and academic excellence.
