NASA’s InSight Mars Mission was successfully and the whole world celebrated it. Little did we know about the contribution of Indian Astro-Mathematician from Bihar. Dr.Manaziruddin who till date happen to be only researcher to be appointed as Research Associate of Mathematics in Bihar University and an honorary life time member of Indian Mathematician Society . He presented his research on “ non-linear movement of tethers in space “ in Indian Science Congress two decades back. The same research was used for NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Centre’s officials manual handbook titled “Tethers in Space Handbook”. While with time there were various update version of the handbook which came, his work remained backbone of tether research and still core part of the handbook. Tethers are basically cables which holds different tools attached to outer body of space shuttle post take off for observation work in space and over other planets , technology which current Mars Mission used for sending different information from mars back to earth.
No homework for classes 1, 2 students: HRD ministry to schools
According to the official order, the HRD ministry has "instructed all the states and Union Territories to formulate guidelines to regulate the teaching of subjects and weight of school bags in accordance with the Government of India instructions"

From now, the students of classes 1 and 2 do not have to do homework, as per the directives issued by the Human Resources Development (HRD) ministry to states and union territories today. The directives also mentioned about the prescribed weight limit of school bags for each class. According to the official order, the HRD ministry has “instructed all the states and Union Territories to formulate guidelines to regulate the teaching of subjects and weight of school bags in accordance with the Government of India instructions”.
As per these instructions, which the schools have been asked to comply with, institutions cannot assign homework to students of classes I and II. “Schools should not prescribe any other subjects except language and mathematics for classes I and II and language, EVS and mathematics for classes III to V students as prescribed by the NCERT,” the order said.
Students should not be asked to bring additional books, extra materials and the weight of a school bag should not exceed the prescribed limit, the order added. The weight of school bags for students of classes I and II should not exceed 1.5 kg, while the school bag of students of class III to V should weigh between 2 kg to 3 kg, reported by PTI.
The school bag of students of classes VI and VII should not be more than 4 kg, while weight of school bags of classes VIII and IX students should not be above 4.5 kg. The school bag of a class X student should not weigh above 5 kg, the order said.

The National Milk Day (NMD) was observed on 26 November is to mark birth anniversary Dr.Verghese Kurien, father of the White Revolution in India.
This year it was 95th birth anniversary of Dr.Verghese Kurien and third edition of observance of the day since it was established in 2014.
To mark this event, all dairy cooperatives across the country had conducted a mega activation in all markets across the country.
In addition, the Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation (GCMMF), which markets the Amul brand of milk and dairy products printed 150 million milk pouches with the National Milk Day logo featuring Dr. Kurien’s picture with the National Milk Day logo on it.
