Duolingo English language test: insight
• Duolingo – A language learning application – available in both Android and iOS.
• Computer Adapted Language Proficiency Test – The next question will be based on the previous answers made.
• No particular test sequence like sections of listening, reading, etc. Involves all sections at the same time.
• Can be taken on demand without any prior appointments from the comfort of your home.
• Those with a better level of English can complete in 45 min while lower-level students require 1 hour. The total duration is 1 hour. No test material available after one hour.

These are part of the test but not graded and instead forwarded to the institution along with the score.

Result: 48 hours.
Requirements:
1. Computer/Laptop + Microphone + We**am. For a computer with an attached we**am, it should be in the middle of the monitor.
2. Google Chrome and Opera browser only supports this. Firefox does not support this. Hence latest version of Chrome or Opera required.
3. Download speed of 2 MBPS and upload speed of 1 MBPS needed.
4. Passport required The student needs to take a photo of himself as well as the passport during the test.
Rules:
1. No headphones are allowed. Only microphones/speakers.
2. No pen or note-taking allowed during the test.
3. Ears of the student should be visible on the we**am screen
4. Hairs to be tied not to cover the ear.
5. Not to look away from the computer screen.
6. The room should be well lit
7. Add-ons in the browsers to be disabled or deactivated.
8. Cannot leave the tab during the entire duration of the test.
Practice Test: Test of 15 min duration is available on the website. Once you are confident, purchase the test and complete it. Once purchased, the start button will be visible.

Points to Remember:
1. During the describe image test, the first question gives 1 to 3 min time to answer the questions while the second part has 20 seconds.
