Pilgrimage to Prasanthi Nilayam - Glimpses I

With the Divine Blessings of our beloved Bhagawan, the students and staff of Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Educare, Chromepet, Chennai–44, were privileged to undertake the holy pilgrimage to the abode of supreme peace on earth — Prasanthi Nilayam.

The group, led by Correspondent Sri S. Loganathan and accompanied by Principal Ms. N. Vedhanayagi, Headmaster Sri C. Manikandan, Headmistress Mrs. K. Poongothai, along with other teaching and non-teaching staff, commenced the journey in five buses from the school premises in the early hours of 3rd July 2026 and reached Puttaparthi by 7:00 p.m. the same evening. Accommodation was graciously arranged at the Sai Bhakta Nivas halls.

On 4th July, during the first Maha Samadhi Darshan of Bhagawan, heartfelt letters lovingly written by students and staff — expressing gratitude, prayers, and personal transformation — were reverentially offered at the Maha Samadhi. On both days, the group participated in the divine Veda chanting and blissful Bhajan sessions at Sai Kulwant Hall.

The highlight of the pilgrimage was the inspiring Satsangs addressed by Sri Vedanarayanan (Sanskrit Faculty, SSSHSS), Sri Sai Surendranath (Business Studies Faculty, SSSHSS), and Sri Bishu Prusty (SSS Media Centre). Through their soul-stirring narrations of Bhagawan’s values-based divine incidents, they sowed the seeds of devotion and strengthened the faith of the young minds.

Between the Darshan sessions, the group visited sacred sites of spiritual significance at Parthi, including Mother Eswaramma’s Samadhi, Bhagawan’s birthplace and adjacent temples, the revered Vata Vruksham (Meditation Tree), among others. Students were specially blessed to engage in volleyball and basketball matches with the students of SSSIHL, Prasanthi Nilayam, fostering bonds of love and fraternity. The group departed from Parthi at 8:00 p.m. on 5th July and, by Bhagawan’s Grace, reached the campus safely in the early morning hours of 6th July 2026.

International Day of Yoga Celebration

Loving Sairam. With the Divine Blessings of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Educare, Chromepet, celebrated the International Day of Yoga in a grand and inspiring manner. Senior students delivered enlightening talks on the significance of Yoga and shared the benefits they have experienced through its regular practice.

Ms. N. Vedhanayagi, Principal, highlighted the laurels and achievements of our students at the district, state, and national level Yoga competitions. Correspondent Sri S. Loganathan lovingly urged the students to practise Yoga every day and not restrict it to the occasion of Yoga Day. He appreciated the hostel students for their disciplined practice of Surya Namaskar and other Yogasanas as part of their daily routine, and encouraged the day scholars and teachers to integrate Yoga into their schedules. He further suggested a special plan for regular Yoga training for teachers, affirming that only strong teachers can nurture strong students.

The programme continued with a graceful Yogasana display by expert students from the Yoga Department. A mass Yoga session was then conducted, beginning with Surya Namaskar and concluding with the chanting of the Gayatri Mantra, in accordance with the guidelines of the Sri Sathya Sai National Council for Schools. The celebration concluded blissfully with Mangala Arathi offered to Bhagawan.

Balvatika Graduation Day

The first-ever Graduation Ceremony for the tiny tots of Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Educare, Chromepet, who successfully completed their Balvatika III classes and are stepping into Class I from the next academic year, was celebrated in a grand and memorable manner. The day marked not only the culmination of one joyful journey but also the beginning of another, filled with promise and potential.

Held on 28th June 2026, the ceremony was graced by respected guests, faculty members, and proud parents. The atmosphere was vibrant with love, reverence, and celebration. The event was further elevated by the presence of Sri K. Senthil Kumar, Founder and Managing Director of Orbit Edutech Pvt. Ltd., Chennai, a renowned educationist who has guided numerous Principals of Engineering Colleges across India, as the Chief Guest.

The program commenced with the lighting of the lamp of love by the dignitaries, symbolizing the dispelling of darkness and the ushering in of knowledge. Senior students then filled the hall with divine energy by chanting Vedic hymns. Following this, Ms. N. Vedhanayagi, Principal-in-charge, delivered the welcome address and shared a beautifully composed poem that captured the emotions and expressions of the children from the start of the year to its successful conclusion. The stage came alive with a kaleidoscope of colours and joy, as the children enthralled the audience with their captivating subject‑based and values‑based presentations

Correspondent Sri S. Loganathan addressed the gathering, emphasizing the importance of uttering “Sairam” as a reminder of divinity in daily life, and spoke about the value of selfless service as the true essence of education. He expressed gratitude to parents for their support in initiatives such as the subsidized education program and the Nithya Narayana Seva—the free noon meals scheme for primary children. He urged parents to continue their involvement to help the school progress to greater heights.

He highlighted the various service activities undertaken by the school for the non-teaching staff and shared how the institution extended its support to all staff members during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Chief Guest then delivered an inspiring speech, sharing personal experiences and observations about the school. He praised the holistic approach and spiritual foundation nurtured at SSSIE, remarking that while it may be easy to train engineering students, shaping the tender minds of kindergarten children requires extraordinary dedication. He lauded the teachers as the true pillars of the institution and expressed admiration for a school that runs not for profit but on the basis of human values. He highlighted that while schools often have temples, this school itself radiates the sanctity of a temple. He concluded with heartfelt wishes, expressing his desire to witness the graduation of these tiny tots once again when they complete their Class XII here.

The most awaited moment arrived when our little heroes walked through the assembly hall passage, dressed in ceremonial graduation gowns and hats, radiating joy and innocence. Each child proudly received their Graduation Certificate, marking the successful completion of Pre-Primary classes up to Balvatika III. The sight of their beaming faces filled the hearts of parents, teachers, and guests with pride and happiness.

A unique vote of thanks was delivered by Headmistress Mrs. K. Poongothai, whose creative “ABC song” highlighted the nature, kindness, and qualities of the graduating students in a delightful manner. The ceremony concluded in an atmosphere of joy, reverence, and celebration, leaving behind cherished memories. Mrs. Kirthika, PRT, gracefully compered the entire sequence of events. Assistant Headmistress Mrs. Vijayalakshmi, together with all the primary staff, coordinated to ensure the grand success of the program.

Parents enthusiastically captured joyful moments of their children at the specially arranged Graduation Day selfie point. It was truly a special day—a day of achievements, blessings, and new beginnings. The Graduation Day will forever remain etched in the hearts of the students, parents, and teachers as a milestone in the journey of education at SSSIE. Sairam.
