EUREKA! 2026 – Where Ideas Take the Stage!

CUAP E-Cell takes its first big step towards building a stronger culture of entrepreneurship and innovation at the Central University of Andhra Pradesh.
Organised by the Department of Management & CUAP E-Cell, in collaboration with E-Cell, IIT Bombay, EUREKA! – Pitching Competition 2026 gives aspiring student entrepreneurs a platform to pitch their ideas before an expert jury.

Participants presented their ideas through a 5-minute pitch + 2-minute Q&A, with evaluation based on problem & Solution, Innovation & Uniqueness, Market Potential, Business Model and Team & Ex*****on

But EUREKA! is about more than winning a competition. It is about creating a mindset.

At CUAP, we believe education should prepare students not only to seek opportunities, but also to create them.

Through CUAP E-Cell, the University is working towards nurturing the next generation of job creators, innovators and entrepreneurial leaders—students who can identify problems, build solutions and turn ideas into impact.

Ideas to Impact. Skills to Success.

WELLBEING IS CLOSELY CONNECTED TO HOW INDIVIDUALS RELATE TO THE WORLD AROUND THEM:

Open-mic Wellness Event - August 14, 2026:

The Mental Health & Wellness Centre, Department of Psychology at Central University of Andhra Pradesh (CUAP) organized an open-mic wellness event to observe August as National Wellness Month to provide students a platform to express their ideas and thoughts and also showcase their talents to appreciate and celebrate their connection with Mother Earth.

The event was conceptualized around the idea that wellbeing is closely connected to how individuals relate to the world around them. Through music, poetry, comedy, and dance, students explored and celebrated their relationship with MOTHER EARTH, while also highlighting the role of meaningful connections in building a healthier and more balanced life.

The open mic featured four creative segments: Eco-Singing, Eco-Poetry, Eco-Comedy, and Eco-Dance. Each segment offered students an opportunity to interpret their connection with nature in their own unique way. From songs inspired by the beauty and rhythms of nature to poetry reflecting on environmental responsibility, comedy that brought a lighter perspective to ecological concerns, and dance performances expressing the harmony between humans and nature, the event brought together creativity and wellbeing in an engaging format.

The event also emphasized that connection with nature can serve as a source of reflection, joy, creativity, and emotional renewal. By encouraging students to pause, express themselves, listen to others, and appreciate their relationship with the natural world, the initiative sought to create a supportive environment where wellbeing could be experienced collectively.

The programme was organized under the guidance of Prof. S. A. Kori, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor of CUAP, Prof. S. B. Kivade, Registrar and Prof. C. Sheela Reddy, Dean (Academics). Dr. Akriti Srivastava Head of the Department, extended support in facilitating the event. The event was conducted by Ms. Madhu Giri with the support of Mr. Anas Thayyil, Counsellors, Mental Health and Wellness Centre, Department of Psychology.

CUAP CELEBRATES INDIPENDENCE DAY WITH FERVOR, VC ANNOUNCES NEW COURSES

Hon’ble Vice Chancellor of Central University of Andhra Pradesh hoisted the national flag at Jnana Seema in Janthuluru to mark the 80th Independence Day celebrations in the campus. Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Kori said, the University has started three new programmes – MSc programmes in Chemistry, Genomic Sciences, and MCA with students responding by competing to enroll for these courses from all over India. He said the last year also saw considerable emphasis on interdisciplinary learning, research, and emerging areas of knowledge.

“Programmes covering artificial intelligence, financial awareness, research methodology, data analysis, academic writing, and other contemporary themes offered students and scholars opportunities to develop new skills and engage with evolving academic and professional contexts. The University’s academic environment was further enriched through faculty development programmes, research-related workshops, and participation in conferences and other scholarly activities”, Said Prof. Kori in his address to the students, teaching and non-teaching staff who were present on the occasion.

This year, CUAP celebrated a momentous achievement by hosting its first convocation ceremony on 1 July. The event was graced by the presence of the Hon’ble President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu, Visitor of the University, as the Chief Guest. Her visit added a distinguished significance to the occasion, marking a new chapter in the university’s journey and honouring the accomplishments of its graduates. Hon’ble President Smt. Droupadi Murmu delivered the Convocation Address and unveiled the Commemorative Plaque.

The Hon’ble Vice Chancellor said, “In this context, my appeal to the young minds is: Make sure that engaging with social media reels does not overshadow your traditional textbooks, as it is important to prioritize comprehensive learning. Additionally, be mindful of how algorithms can sometimes influence your educational experience, potentially overshadowing the valuable insights and guidance provided by your teachers.

Prof Kori inaugurated two portals: CUAP E-Campus Portal (student.cuap.in) and Student Health & Wellbeing Portal (health.cuap.in). The university is taking significant steps towards creating a digitally enabled, student-friendly campus through the CUAP E-Campus Portal and the Student Health & Wellbeing Portal. These platforms are designed to simplify essential services, improve access to information, and support students' academic, administrative, and personal wellbeing needs.

Skill development cell in collaboration with Jan Sikshan Sansthan - Ananthapuramu conducted tailoring training for 51 women as an outreach women empowerment programme for nearby villagers. Those certificates from National Skill Development Council (NSDC) were distributed today.

Registrar, Prof. S.B. Kivade proposed a vote of thanks for all the attendees present.
