"शब्दों के भाव थम गए हैं। दुःख इतना गहरा है कि अब वह अव्यक्त होकर स्वयं बोलने लगा है। ऐसे महान साधक के लिए शब्द सदैव छोटे पड़ जाते हैं। उनके सुर केवल संगीत के स्वर नहीं थे, वे साधना के स्वर थे—और ऐसे स्वर कभी विलीन नहीं होते। वे थे, हैं और सदैव रहेंगे। उनके मधुर, आध्यात्मिक और शास्त्रीय संगीत ने अनगिनत हृदयों को स्पर्श किया, प्रत्येक जीव को भावों की पराकाष्ठा तक पहुँचाया और संगीत की उस दिव्य अनुभूति से जोड़ दिया, जहाँ केवल एक ही सत्य शेष रहता है—महान साधक कभी विदा नहीं होते, वे अपनी साधना और सुरों में सदैव जीवित रहते हैं।"
