Rock Paper Scissors Montessori School

Today the children engaged in a Pin Pushing Activity. This simple yet purposeful Montessori work helps strengthen the small muscles of the fingers and hands, which are essential for writing readiness.

By carefully pushing pins onto a paper along a pattern, children develop:

• Fine motor strength
• Better pencil grip control
• Hand–eye coordination
• Concentration and patience
• Wrist stability for smoother writing later.

In the Montessori method developed by , such activities are called indirect preparation - meaning they gently prepare the child for future academic skills in a hands-on and joyful way.

It may look simple, but it plays a very important role in building confidence, independence, and school readiness 💛
