🎯 Simple English Tip: The "Yes, and..." Method

Want to keep English conversations flowing naturally?
Start your positive responses with "Yes, and..." instead of just "Yes"

Example - "Do you like coffee?"
→"Yes and that's my
morning routine."

You can make it even stronger and louder yet be professional.

Example - "Do you like coffee?"
→"Yes, ofcourse that's my
morning routine."
"Yes, and..." forces you to add information, keeping conversations alive while giving you more English speaking practice.

And now the negative sentences. Add "No but...."

Example - "Is the project ready?"
→ "No but it's in the finishing
stage."

However, honestly speaking, employing 'No' to state negation is actually unwise, rather choose alternatives.

For example - "Is the project ready?"
→ "Almost, it will be ready
in two more days."

Another variant response -
- "Is the script ready?"
- "At 5p.m, it will be on your table."

So these types of "No" show that you are working on it and will submit at the promised time. This type of 'No' increases trust in you and lets you work peacefully without further intervention.

I started using this at my work after learning it from one of my seniors. My colleagues now see me as a more genuine soul, and I practice English naturally without even thinking about it.

The best part is it works with any topic and makes you sound more professional and interesting.

Try it in your next English conversation today.
