The Big Picture - Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam | Redefine | Tribute Video 15/10/2019

Every artist can trace their passion to a point of inspiration which instigated it. Inspiration at a young age can potentially snowball into a flourishing career. We at Redefine, want every child to have that chance to be inspired. We aim to bring about a ‘butterfly’ effect into every child’s life.

With the thrill of creating something with their own hands, young students often stump us with the way their minds work. Creativity begets more creativity. In this event, they used the fluttering of butterfly wings to talk about the significant dependance of sensitive initial conditions on the outcomes.

On this birthday of APJ Abdul Kalam, a class of awestruck fifth graders in a Teach For India partnered GCC school hidden away in the lanes of Pulianthope let 2000 origami butterflies they made take wings.

Working with the children at C**S, Perambur Barracks Road, we learnt to work in teams and to work with patience, and experienced the rush of joy and sense of accomplishment when we finished our big picture.

Happy Birthday Abdul Kalam sir :)
