Sir Chandrasekhara Venkata Raman, fondly known as C.V. Raman, was an eminent Indian physicist whose groundbreaking work in the field of light scattering earned him the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1930. Born on November 7, 1888, in Tamil Nadu, Raman’s discovery of the "Raman Effect"—the scattering of light by molecules—revolutionized the understanding of light and matter interactions. His contributions extended beyond physics, inspiring generations of scientists in India and worldwide. National Science Day, celebrated annually on February 28 in India, commemorates this discovery, promoting scientific temper and innovation.

On this Science Day, February 28, 2025, let’s honor Sir C.V. Raman’s legacy by embracing curiosity and the pursuit of knowledge. Wishing everyone a Happy Science Day!
