Ghatam - Most ancient percussion instruments of South India. A clay Pot with a narrow mouth. It slants outwards from the mouth to form a ridge. Ghatam is unique as all the 5 elements of nature - Earth (Prithvi), Water (Jalam), Air (Vayu), Fire (Agni) & Space (Aakasha) are found in it.
