Cardiff School Budgam Welcomes JK-PSA–Finland Education Exchange; Calls It A New Gateway To Global Learning & Future-Ready Education
“Connecting Our Classrooms With The World Can Open New Pathways For Students, Teachers & School Leaders”: Dr. Owais Mattoo
Budgam: The Cardiff School, Charar-e-Sharief, has warmly welcomed the PSA–Finland Education Exchange Initiative, describing the collaboration as a significant step towards strengthening international educational engagement, academic exchange, teacher development and global exposure for students, educators and school leaders.
The school management, along with Director Dr. Owais Mattoo, District President, Private Schools Association (PSA) Budgam and Director PSA State Media & Communications, said the initiative has the potential to open new pathways for global learning, innovative teaching practices, professional development and meaningful cross-cultural exchange.
Dr. Mattoo said this initiative can create meaningful opportunities for international learning, teacher training, academic exchanges, innovative teaching practices and cross-cultural understanding, enabling the education sector in Jammu & Kashmir to benefit from wider global perspectives.
He said such collaborations are particularly important in the present technology-driven era, when young people are facing rapidly changing social, educational and technological realities.
“The real strength of this collaboration lies in its ability to connect our classrooms with the wider world. By giving students, teachers and school leaders opportunities to exchange ideas, experience different educational cultures and learn from international best practices, we can broaden perspectives, strengthen capabilities and prepare our young generation for a rapidly changing world.”
Dr. Mattoo further said the such initiative could contribute to nurturing confident, creative, compassionate, innovative and future-ready individuals, while encouraging schools to move beyond conventional learning and embrace practical, learner-centred and globally informed approaches.
“This is not simply an exchange of educational idea, it is an opportunity to exchange experiences, perspectives and possibilities. If we can empower our children with knowledge, exposure, creativity and empathy, we can make a meaningful contribution towards building a stronger, more responsible and progressive society.”
He expressed appreciation for the efforts of the Jammu & Kashmir Private Schools Association (PSA) and internationally acclaimed Finnish education expert Ms. Meike Krautscheid, saying the initiative has the potential to create a lasting positive impact on the region’s education ecosystem.
“We warmly welcome this visionary initiative and believe that international collaboration, when adapted to our local needs, can become a powerful catalyst for educational progress and positive social change.”
