On the occasion of International Women’s Day, 2026 the female students of Bengal Fine Arts College had the wonderful opportunity to participate in a special art initiative at the Indian Museum, Kolkata. Inspired by this year’s global theme, “Rights. Justice. Action. For All Women and Girls,” our students expressed their thoughts, emotions and aspirations through their artworks.
Each painting reflects a powerful voice for equality, dignity and change, reminding us that art can be a strong medium to speak for rights and justice.
We sincerely thank the Indian Museum for inviting our students and providing such a meaningful platform to share their creative voices on this important occasion.

As part of the Internship Program at the Indian Museum, the first-year students of Bengal Fine Arts College had the privilege of visiting Raj Bhawan. The visit offered them a valuable opportunity to experience the rich heritage, architecture and historical significance of this iconic landmark.
Such exposure beyond the classroom plays an important role in shaping young artists, helping them connect history, culture and visual practice in meaningful ways.
A memorable and inspiring experience for our budding artists.
