The wait is over,Art and Photography Club invites entries for "CLICK-A National Level Online Photography Competition", at PECFEST'16.

Rules
Mail your entries at [email protected] with subject “CLICK_Theme”. Write your name, College, Phone no, Caption in the body of mail.
• The photographs submitted by all the participants will be uploaded on https://www.facebook.com/pecfestofficial
• Photographs will be updated every day once in between 8 PM - 11 PM. Once uploaded, the participant will be acknowledged through an e-mail.
• A participant can submit a maximum of 1 entries per theme.
• The entries are to be accompanied with a caption not longer than 20 words.
• There must not be any Watermarks, Copyright marks or any Text/Graphic on the picture.
• Please limit your adjustment to minor changes of cropping, sharpening and contrast. Avoid significant over or under color saturation. Dodging (to brighten shadows) or burning (to darken highlights) is allowed, but the alterations should enable the photograph to closely resemble what you see. Please avoid any extensive manipulation.
• Images should not exceed 8 MB in size.
• Stitched panoramas are allowed.
• The copyright in all images submitted to the Competition will remain with the owner who will be credited. Each entrant grants to the Organizers a license to use their images in relation to the Competition and the Exhibition, if required.
• The participant should be ready with the original image when asked upon by the organizers.
• PLAGIARISM should be strictly avoided and such photographs shall be immediately disqualified from the competition.
All themes are open to interpretation

The next step, is to attend the orientation programme on Monday i.e. 19th September, 2016.

The deadline for filling in the forms for script-writing have come to an end. The results of all the selected entries shall be uploaded on this page, after the Punjab University elections wind up. Till then, Keep capturing!

We feel obliged for the overwhelming response so far, all thanks to the very talented and enthusiastic applicants (who believed us to be normal human beings and not vampire monkeys). The deadline for photography, video editing and cinematography have come to an end.
We have a good news for all the scriptwriters out there, that we have extended the deadline for applying for script writing till 5th September, 8 pm. So if writing is your thing, grab this opportunity to become a part of the Contre-jour family.
The results of all the selected entries shall be updated after 5th September.

Abhinandan, the official freshers for B Voc., Science and Information Technology students took place on 12th August, 2016. The event chartered out a new paradigm for the college, with lots of energy and enthusiasm. The freshers truly took a moment to celebrate the real achievement to get admission in GGDSD College, and for us it was one of the most energetic event we have witnessed so far.

Denis Diderot perfectly stated that, the pit of a theater is the one place where the tears of the virtous and wicked men alike are mingled. Everyone has a way to escape from the dull and trivial day-to-day routine, and to about 160 students of Sd College Chandigarh the escape seems to be theater. The official theater group of the college, Sarv Saksham held auditions for the budding theater artists on Saturday, 13th August. The auditions witnessed high spirit and passion among the aspirants.

Metamorphosis - The recruitments for the official English Literary Club - GGDSD College were concluded on 12th August, buoyantly under the proficient guidance of the English professor, Mrs. Poorva Trikha and the core members of the club - Dushyant Hetta and Pranav Kapil. The recruitments witnessed about 84 applications from the lovers of art and literature. The club provides it's members an opportunity to explore the prospects of acquiring proficiency in literature along with many other skills which will help them in every walk of life.
