Day 2 of Bhasha Sangam activity for Classes 6 to 8 began with the morning assembly and Sanskrit shlokas. Students were taught simple Sanskrit conversational skills, such as how to order food and ask for directions in Sanskrit.
After this, a virtual tour of Uttarakhand was organised for the students. First, students were shown a virtual tour of the capital city, Dehradun. They explored many famous places such as Robber's Cave, Tapkeshwar Temple, the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (IAS Academy), Malsi Deer Park and Haridwar.
Students were also taken on a virtual tour of beautiful places like Mussoorie, Nainital, Ranikhet, Auli, Rishikesh, Jim Corbett National Park, Kausani, Joshimath, Hemkund Sahib, Badrinath Temple, Kedarnath Temple and Chopta, known for its scenic beauty and high-altitude views.
To keep students hydrated during the extreme hot weather, refreshing lassi was also served by the teachers, which the students enjoyed very much.
Students enjoyed watching the beautiful places of Uttarakhand and expressed that they would definitely like to visit them during their summer vacation.

Report on Sanskrit Bhasha Summer Camp – Day 1
The first day of the Sanskrit Bhasha Summer Camp was successfully conducted on 23 May 2026 at Guru Nanak Khalsa Senior Secondary School from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. A total of 46 students enthusiastically participated in the camp.
The day began with the chanting of the Gayatri Mantra during the morning assembly. After this, counting drills and body parts name drills were conducted in Sanskrit to develop interest and confidence among the students.
In the classroom session, students were taught basic Sanskrit greetings and meanings of 50 simple Sanskrit words. The participants showed great enthusiasm and actively took part in all activities. To make the learning process joyful and interactive, brief fun-filled activities were also organized during the session.
The first day of the camp was informative, engaging, and enjoyable for all the participants.

Today was truly a beautiful, memorable, and joy-filled day for everyone at school. ✨
The day began with a very successful PTM, where parents and teachers shared meaningful discussions for the betterment of the students. 🌸
After that, Baba Ji’s Swari was respectfully brought to the Gurdwara Sahib with great devotion and positivity. 🙏 The newly renovated Gurdwara Sahib looked absolutely divine and peaceful, filling every heart with happiness and spiritual bliss. 🕌✨
The celebrations continued with a wonderful teachers’ interaction session where everyone enjoyed wholeheartedly. 💃🎤 Teachers danced, sang, laughed together, and created moments full of warmth, togetherness, and happiness. Seeing every smiling face made the atmosphere even more special. ❤️
A special appreciation goes to S Dalvinder Singh Ji, whose anchoring added great charm and energy to the entire program. 🎙️✨ His confident and entertaining presence made everyone feel comfortable, engaged, and happy throughout the event. 👏😊
One of the most heartwarming parts of the day was when the management regularized several staff members and handed over confirmation letters to those who successfully completed their promotion/probation period. 📜👏
The happiness on the faces of the Class IV employees who got regularized was truly priceless and emotional. 😊 Their joy brought smiles to everyone around them.
Another highly appreciable moment was when the teachers who achieved 100% results in the Class 10th and 12th Board examinations were specially recognized and motivated by the management. 🏆📚 They were also awarded cash rewards for their hard work and dedication, which is truly inspiring and very important to encourage and motivate teachers to continue giving their best. 👏💐 Such appreciation always boosts confidence and creates a positive environment for growth and excellence. ✨
And above all, the delicious lunch arranged by Manager Sir for the entire staff on the joyful occasion of his grandson’s birth was simply excellent. 🍽️🎉 It was a lovely gesture filled with affection and generosity.
Today, every member of the school family felt happy, valued, and connected. 🌼 It was not just an eventful day, but a day full of blessings, celebrations, positivity, togetherness, and unforgettable memories. 💫

Uniform: Parents were informed about the importance of students coming to school in proper and complete uniform. Regularity in maintaining neatness and discipline through proper attire was emphasized.
Unit Test: Discussion was held regarding the upcoming unit tests, syllabus coverage, preparation strategies, and the importance of regular study habits. Parents were encouraged to support students in maintaining a proper study schedule at home.
Discipline: Teachers highlighted the need for punctuality, respectful behavior, classroom discipline, and adherence to school rules. Parents were requested to cooperate in reinforcing positive behavior and values among students.

🐅🌍 Save Big Cats, Save Ecosystem, Save Earth 🌿✨
To spread awareness about wildlife conservation and environmental protection, a series of engaging activities was organized for the students of Guru Nanak Khalsa Sr Sec school 30B Chandigarh.
🎥 Students attended an educational video session that highlighted the importance of big cats like tigers, lions, leopards, and cheetahs in maintaining ecological balance. The session sensitized students towards the threats faced by wildlife due to deforestation, poaching, and habitat destruction.
🤝 The students also took the “Save Big Cats” Pledge, promising to protect wildlife, conserve forests, and spread awareness about environmental conservation.
📢 Adding energy to the campaign, students organized an awareness rally on the theme “Save Big Cats, Save Ecosystem, Save Earth.” Carrying creative placards and banners, they spread powerful messages about biodiversity conservation, pollution control, and the need to protect natural habitats for a sustainable future.
🌱 The programme successfully inspired students to become responsible citizens and young environmental ambassadors committed to protecting our planet.

An interactive session for the Plus Two Science students was held in the school library. Our school educationist, Dr. J. S. Dargan, along with the Manager Sir and Principal Ma’am, provided valuable and informative guidance to the students. They motivated the students to attend school regularly, work hard, and remain focused on building a bright future.
Dr. Dargan Sir and the Manager Sir also shared useful information regarding various career opportunities in Medical and Non-Medical streams. The students actively participated in the session and gained important knowledge about future career prospects.
The session proved to be highly informative, inspiring, and beneficial for all the students.

Report: Fire Safety Awareness Program

On 13 May 2026, a team from the Fire Department visited in our school during morning assembly. The team was led by Mr. Raj Kumar , Fire safety Officer.
The fire officer explained the main causes of fire such as short circuits, gas leakage, and negligence.
Safety Measures: Students were taught key steps during a fire emergency, including the "STOP, DROP, ROLL" technique, crawling low to avoid smoke, and not panicking.
Live Demonstration: The team gave a practical demo of how to operate a fire extinguisher. A few senior students also got a chance to try it.
Emergency Numbers: Everyone was reminded of the 101 fire brigade helpline and the school’s evacuation plan.
Q&A Session: Students asked several questions like "What should we do if our clothes catch fire?" The team answered all queries in a simple and clear manner.
Outcome:
Around 400 students from Class 9 to 12 and staff members benefited from this program. It helped increase awareness about fire safety and replaced fear with confidence among students.
The school family sincerely thanks the Fire Department team for conducting this useful program. We look forward to organizing such sessions in the future .

Report on Mother’s Day Celebration in School Assembly
A special assembly was organized in our school on the occasion of Mother’s Day on 12th May 2026. The program was conducted in the school auditorium with great enthusiasm and joy. The principal, teachers, and students participated actively in the celebration.
The assembly began with the morning prayer followed by a speech highlighting the importance of mothers in our lives. Students expressed their love and gratitude towards their mothers through poems, songs, and short speeches. A beautiful dance performance dedicated to mothers was also presented by the students.
Many students shared heartfelt messages and experiences about the care, sacrifices, and unconditional love of their mothers. The principal addressed the gathering and spoke about respecting and valuing mothers every day, not just on Mother’s Day.
The celebration concluded with a vote of thanks and a pledge by the students to always honor and obey their mothers. The program created a warm and emotional atmosphere and reminded everyone of the priceless role of mothers in our lives.
