এম. সি. দাস কলেজ, সোনাই-এ আইকিউএসি (IQAC)-এর উদ্যোগে এবং রেড রিবন ক্লাব, এনএসএস (NSS), এনসিসি (NCC) ও মহিলা সেলের সহযোগিতায় অধ্যক্ষ ড. বাহারুল ইসলাম লস্করের সভাপতিত্বে ২৭/০৬/২০২৬ তারিখে নিম্নলিখিত বিষয়সমূহের উপর একটি সচেতনতামূলক কর্মসূচির আয়োজন করা হয়:

১. সড়ক নিরাপত্তা: নিরাপদ গাড়ি চালানোর অভ্যাস, ট্রাফিক নিয়ম মেনে চলা এবং দায়িত্বশীল সড়ক আচরণ।

২. যৌতুকবিরোধী সচেতনতামূলক কার্যক্রম।

৩. 'নেশামুক্ত ভারত অভিযান'-এর আওতায় মাদকাসক্তি ও অবৈধ মাদক পাচার প্রতিরোধ বিষয়ক সচেতনতামূলক কার্যক্রম।

An awareness programme has been organised by the IQAC in collaboration with the Red Ribbon Club, NSS, NCC & Women's Cell, M. C. Das College Sonai on 27/06/2026 on the following issues:

1. Road Safety: Safe Driving Practices, Adherence to Traffic Rules, and Responsible Road Behaviour

2. Anti-Dowry Sensitisation Activities

3. Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking under Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan

The programme was chaired by the Principal, Dr. Baharul Islam Laskar. The speakers among others include:

All the respected dignitaries highlighted that such type of awareness programmes are essential to develop students into responsible citizens by promoting road safety, gender justice, a drug-free society, and respect for the law, thereby contributing to a safer and more inclusive society.

The vote of thanks has been given by Dr. Hamida Khatun, Asst. Prof., Bengali. The whole programme has been hosted by Dr. Abdul Basith Laskar, NSS Programme Officer.

Das College, Sonai has organised an inter college debate competition on the theme "Artificial Intelligence is Destroying the Creativity of the Student Community" on 7th February, 2026 at the College Auditorium in collaboration with NCC, NSS and Women Cell of the college. Mr. Bikash Das (6th Semester), an active NSS volunteer has received the best speaker award in the debate competition.

Assam University NSS Contingent has received the best participation award. One of the NSS volunteers of our college, Miss Ruhana Khanom Mazumder has also participated in the parade.

Barak Valley Headquarters, Silchar Wins Best Participant Trophy at Republic Day Parade.
“In the history of NSS, this marks a historic milestone— for the first time, the NSS contingent from Barak Valley Headquarters, Silchar participated in the Republic Day Parade and was awarded the Best Participant Trophy in the Regular Force category. Competing alongside disciplined forces such as Assam Police (Male & Female), Assam Home Guards, Traffic Police, BSF, CRPF, NCC Boys & Girls, and Scouts & Guides, the NSS contingent stood out with exemplary dedication, discipline, and patriotic spirit.”
