Awareness and Vaccination Programme on Cervical Cancer
An awareness and vaccination programme on cervical cancer was successfully organized in DAV Ispat Public School, Sector 9E, Bokaro, with the objective of educating girls of class IX and X about the prevention and early detection of cervical cancer.
The programme was conducted in collaboration with healthcare professionals of Sadar Hospital, who provided valuable insights into the causes, symptoms, risk factors, and preventive measures related to cervical cancer. Special emphasis was laid on the importance of regular screening and timely vaccination.
During the session, the experts explained the role of the Human Papillomavirus (HPV) as the primary cause of cervical cancer and highlighted the effectiveness of the HPV vaccine in preventing the disease. Informative presentations and interactive discussions helped in spreading awareness among the participants.
The programme was attended by class IX & X girls students, female staff members and mothers of students, who actively participated and clarified their doubts regarding the vaccination process and its benefits.
Following the awareness session, a vaccination drive was conducted for eligible participants under proper medical supervision. All necessary precautions and safety measures were strictly followed to ensure a smooth and safe vaccination process.
The initiative was highly appreciated by the attendees, and it contributed significantly to spreading awareness about women’s health and preventive care.
