“In conclusion, the present study results advocated that the oral administration of traditionally prepared SPR (Sameerpanag Ras) is relatively safe in male and female rats. The body weight, haematological, and biochemical parameters showed no significant alterations, which was further supported by the organ histopathology. Therefore, it is clear that properly processed herbomineral Ayurvedic formulation does not pose any toxic potential under careful administration”.

EDX studies were carried out which indicated the presence of (weight and atomic %), viz. arsenic (As; 40.67 and 14.68%), sulphur (S; 25.18 and 21.24%), carbon (C; 26.35 and 59.35%), mercury (Hg; 4.94 and 0.67%), oxygen (O; 2.28 and 3.86%), and selenium (Se; 0.57 and 0.20%).
