A pot experiment was conducted to study the effect of different nutrient treatments on the growth of maize (Zea mays L.) under controlled conditions. Earthen/plastic pots were filled with uniform soil and arranged in a completely randomized design. Maize seeds were sown in each pot, and recommended agronomic practices were followed throughout the experimental period.
Different nutrient treatments, including control and various fertilizer combinations, were applied as per treatment schedule. Observations on growth parameters such as plant height, number of leaves, leaf area, and biomass were recorded at regular intervals. Proper irrigation and plant protection measures were maintained to ensure healthy crop growth.
The experiment aimed to evaluate the response of maize to different nutrient levels and to identify the most suitable treatment for optimum growth under pot conditions. The results of this study help in understanding nutrient management practices for improving maize productivity.
