Regarded as one of the fastest bowlers in the women's game, Jhulan Goswami, who received the coveted Arjuna Award and a Padma Shri, announced her retirement from professional cricket. The Indian star wrapped her illustrious career with 355 wickets. She grabbed two wickets in her most recent international game, bringing her ODI wicket count to 255.

With 61 medals, India has finished 4th in the medal tally in the Commonwealth Games 2022.
Indian athletes have brought home 21 gold, 16 silver, and 23 bronze medals this year. From the new CWG record in Women’s Weightlifting to the first-ever medal in Squash singles, Indian athletes have commanded their respect worldwide.
