Every object, every animal, every bird and every insect has the same God man has within itself. The pig and the cow are equally sacred. Both deserve love. When I was small there were people in the village who took a bath if they got touched by a dog accidentally.I carried this belief when I was small. But now I have plenty of love for dogs. Not the dogs people keep to show off their status. All my dogs are street dogs.Once I stopped on my way home. I drank tea. Two black dogs were looking at me expectantly and hunger gleamed in their eyes. I gave two small packets of Tiger biscuits costing ten rupees. Then I wanted to play with them. I was overwhelmed with their loving response, as if they have known me for years. Yesterday I expected to meet them but the tea shop was closed.Whenever you are at a tea-stall, do feed the dogs looking at you expectantly.

Cruel Blows from Fate
Dear friends, what is the hardest thing to do in this world? Each of you might have a specific and special answer. I too have one, exclusively mine. The hardest thing to do in this world is to keep your mouth shut.Right from the beginning, society has taught everyone to look for things like money, good jobs, social prestige. We have been systematically conditioned to dream and achieve our external goals. With the growth of industrialisation and urbanisation, this emphasis on worldly achievements has increased a thousand times. When we were children we didn't have as many dreams as our children now have like owning a car,a magnificent
house,foreign trips,top class televisions,expensive cell phones,wrist watches costing lakhs,incredible laptops,expensive jewelry,beds,ultramodern
furniture and what not? Men and women develop a strong attachment to their dearest possessions and the poor people look upon them as happy ones.In such a situation,if a gentleman or lady complains of stress, what answers can you have for them...?Is God always happy or not? If yes, does God have any worldly possessions? No. Then why do we insist on acquiring external things? You might think I am criticising modern man out of jealousy or despair. What is happening is good. Those who fulfil their objectives are no doubt happy. But what about those like me who received cruel, hard and powerful blows from Fate? I consider myself fortunate to have received them. If I had not received them,I would not have dissociated myself from the world and worldly pleasures. My desires were extremely strong like every other man's but my afflictions and immeasurable sufferings, the insults and utter humiliations burned down all those rosy dreams.I lost my love of the world and the people living in it.When I stopped thinking externally,I was compelled to think internally.Man can't help thinking. This a universal truth. If we didn't have so many attractions and allurements,we wouldn't have the chance or the most blessed opportunity to think internally and discover the truth of our existence. The worth of this discovery is incomparable in value. It is most satisfying to know that we have so many attractions and enticements and the people fail to get them. More attractions and more enticements means more frustrations and also more opportunities to look inwards. They serve a mighty purpose. That people are experiencing pain, misery and suffering after having failed to fulfil their cherished dreams is a solid, superb success which most of them can't know. The hardest thing to do in the world is to turn our thoughts inwards. A man or woman can climb Everest 10 times but the same man can't keep his mouth shut for a single week.He can never turn his thoughts inwards.Let us take a vow to keep silent for a day,two days or three days in a week. Our supreme concern in the world is to think inwards and without doing that nobody can achieve true bliss and mental strength.Keep quiet..!Keep quiet..! Keep quiet...In this way can we completely give up the immensely harmful habit of thinking about this or that.Thought control in absolute terms is generation of spiritual power within. Those who never think are the real kings;those who think are the slaves of their minds and their thoughts. The thing most desirable in the case of every spiritual aspirant is the total mastery over the devil called the mind.

You must have heard of ichha mrityu. When someone attains God,he loses all sense of dualism or attains the Advaita state. The true yogi sees himself in every other person or living thing. A man is on his deathbed and because of his ignorance,he thinks he will leave the body and go away from the world. In fact, nobody goes, nor does anybody come anywhere. This is because the soul is without any beginning or end.A thing with a beginning and an end can alone move.A person might wait for death to come. In case of every death,a sense of dualism is responsible for it. If you are present everywhere unlimitedly, where will death come from? Because of our ignorance, we think good or bad times will come and roast us.When we are rooted in the state of advaita,we are bound to be supreme and everything including times, past, present and future and disease, death and afflictions are trapped within you. Similarly the sun,the moon, the other planets are all within you.In fact, the entire universe is within you in its micro-cosmic state.I don't mean their physical structures, but their subtle invisible forces.People might wonder and consider Sai to be mentally deranged when they heard how He ordered the rain to stop its activity or when he ordered the poison in his disciple's body to come down as quickly as possible. I have heard of my spiritual Master talking to the sky or invisible imaginary beings. Billions and billions of forces are operating in the universe but we see only their physical structures. There can be no effect without its cause. Every force is the cause and its visible structure is its effect.

Those who want to be writers have to be very attentive towards their family members, friends, relatives and most important, strangers. I wrote my first short story 'The Skivvy' being inspired by a real life story narrated by my nephew Biswajit..The Skivvy was first published in the Delhi-based magazine ALIVE in 2001.Another factor that significantly contributed to my writing career was my own store of experiences profound, peculiar, endless and finally psychic and otherworldly...
I sent two short stories to that magazine and they came back rejected.Again I sent two more and they too came back with rejection slips. Then livid with rage I went to a telephone booth and called Delhi Press Office. They connected me with their Editor Mr.Vishw Nath. He was a gentleman. He listened to me patiently. "May I send any more short stories to you?" He said,"You can send as many stories as you like." I sent two more "The Skivvy" and "Love and Sacrifice." Both the stories were accepted and I received a sum of 1000 rupees,500 for each.

Good morning friends..Welcome to BCWA.I have decided to devote the year 2021 for students doing English Honours in Odisha as well as elsewhere. Dear students I find answers to questions(from the prescribed literature textbooks)which are either too long or written in such a complicated way that baffles your understanding. So I am going to post my own answers which are clear, logical and absorbable. Let us start with Lord Tennyson's poem Break,Break,Break. First I am going to explain the poem to you and post my own original answers to some relevant questions from the poem.
