In honor of late Ustad's memory, on the auspicious occasion of his birth anniversary, we are celebrating the International Day of Dhrupad on 14th March. The event will be run through Social Media, and will feature offerings from musicians of multiple forms and stature in the form of audio-video clippings of performative pieces, writings, talks sharing thoughts/ memories, visual art and any other form that one may choose to express themself in. All offerings will be rooted to the Dhrupad form, either as the bandish chosen being a Dhrupad-Dhamar, or through the words reflecting one's thought's/ perspective on any aspect or philosophy of Dhrupad. It is an occasion for the whole world to remember a great master, experience a part of his legacy and refresh themselves in the beauty of a magnificent and pristine form of music through the various exchanges on the International Day of Dhrupad page.
