Mathematics Club DPS Bhopal

Parents enjoyed and were very expressive about their appreciation for the Exhibition "Taste Buds (Let's be Foodie!)" and "Rob-Aero" showcasing the Cookery, Robology and gift wrapping Club Activities 2015-16 by the Students of Classes IV - VIII of Delhi Public School Bhopal during the Open House on 16 January 2016.

22nd December 2015 was celebrated as National Mathematics Day to commemorate the 127th birth anniversary of renowned mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujam. Students of Delhi Public School Bhopal exhibited mathematical models which explained various mathematical concepts in visually appealing manner. Another interesting part of the exhibition were the exhibits depicting the omnipresence of mathematics in various spheres of our lives. The games zone based on the mathematical principles were the major highlight of the exhibition. This was also an endeavor to dispel the myths related to the subject and unravel the magic behind the mysteries of numbers.

Delhi Public School Bhopal is celebrating National Mathematics Day on 22nd December 2015,which is the 127th birth anniversary of the renowned mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan.
The celebrations began on 21st December 2015, with a special assembly by Classes 8ABCD based on the theme, 'promotion of mathematics in girls'. The highlights of the assembly were a thought provoking skit and a song based on the theme.

This was followed by a speech by Dr. Yogesh Padegaokar (HOD Mathematics), which stressed on the alarmingly low rate at which the number of girls pursue mathematics beyond secondary level.

The principal, Mr Ajay Kumar Sharma, expressed his concern about the issue and lauded the efforts taken by the mathematics department in this direction.

National Mathematics Day - Assembly at Delhi, India on 21 Dec. 2015
