💙“Wrinkles hold a treasure of experience,
and the blessings of elders are life’s most precious gift.
The care that brings a smile to their faces —
that is what truly defines a nurse.” ✨
On the occasion of the International Nurses Day, the students of B.Sc. Nursing 5th &8th Semester with all the faculty from Shankaracharya Swami Swaroopanand College of Nursing, had the privilege of celebrating this meaningful day at Mother Teresa Old Age Home with love, care, and compassion.
The day was filled with heartfelt moments as students conducted health assessments for the elderly, including BP, pulse, temperature, and general health check-ups — a small effort to express our responsibility and dedication towards their well-being.
The celebration continued with joyful dance performances, interactive games, laughter-filled conversations, and beautiful memories captured during the photo session and orientation of the old age home.
To make the day even more special, daily living activity supplies were distributed to the elderly residents,
along with a one-time meal provided by Shankaracharya Swami Swaroopanand College of Nursing Family~ More than an event, it was a day of emotional connection, gratitude, respect, and humanity — reminding us that nursing is not only about treatment, but also about kindness, empathy, and bringing comfort to hearts. ❤️
We sincerely express our gratitude to our respected Nursing Director, Dr. Prof Mrs. Sindhu Anil Menon, Principal, Dr. Prof. Mrs. Shailaja Anik, Vice Principal, Prof. Mrs. Vineeta Satyakumar and all teachers, and everyone who made this celebration memorable and meaningful.
“Sometimes healing begins not with medicines, but with kindness, respect, and a caring heart.
And the smiles of our elders remain the most beautiful blessing a nurse can ever receive.” 🌸
