SIO to Sponsor Education of Moinul Hauqe's Children, Salman Ahmad Announces During Assam Visit
SIO President Salman Ahmad visited the family of Shaheed Moinul Haque, who was killed by Assam Police, and offered them condolence. He also announced that SIO will inshAllah sponsor entire education of all three of his children.

A delegation of various organisations including SIO visited Sipajhar area in Darrang district of Assam, where around 800 Muslim families were displaced from their homes by the administration. The delegation met with the displaced families and expressed solidarity with them.
The people with very poor economic background are living without proper shelter and food since last seven days. The place where state administration dislocated the victims is a riverine island and is prone to flooding.
The families shared their ordeal with the delegation. They are in dire need of food, medicines and shelter. However, the administration is yet to rehabilitate them.
The delegation included Ferdous Barbhuiya, (Fraternity Movement), Jabir Hussain, (President Sio Assam South), Abdul Wahab (GS, Democratic Youth Movement), Nurul Islam Mazarbhuiya (Amir e Halqua, Assam South Zone), Ajit Bhuyan (Rajya Sabha Member).
