Optative Sentences (Prayer)

1. ईश्वर आपको वरदान दें!
Optative:
May God bless you!
Assertive: We pray to God to bless you.
= We pray to God that God should bless you.

2. ईश्वर आपको सफल बनाये!
Optative:
May God make you success!
Assertive:
We pray to God to make you success.
= We pray to God that God should make you success.

3. ईश्वर आपको खुशी दे!
Optative:
May God give happy!
Assertive:
We pray to God to give him happy.
= we pray to God that God should give him happy.

4. ईश्वर उन्हें शान्ति दे!
Opt:
May God give them peace.!
Assertive:
We pray to God to give them peace.
= we pray to God that God should give them peace.

5. ईश्वर सभी को सफलता दे!
Opt:
May God give everyone success!
Assertive:
We pray to God to give everyone success.
= we pray to God that God should give everyone success.

6. ईश्वर आपकी रक्षा करे!
Opt:
May God help you!
Assertive:
We pray to God to help you.
= we pray to God that God should help you.

7. ईश्वर आपको बहुत सारा धन दे!
Opt:
May God give you a lot of wealth!
Assertive:

Opt:

Opt:
May God provide you deeply knowledge!
Assertive:

Use of infinitive

Active ( use of infinitive )
1. क्रिकेट खेलना अच्छा है/होता है।
To play cricket is good.
= It is good to play cricket.
2. क्रिकेट खेलते रहना अच्छा है/होता है।
To be playing cricket is good.
= it is good to be playing cricket
3. क्रिकेट खेले हुआ होना अच्छा है/ होता है।
To have played cricket is good.
=it is good to have played cricket.
4. क्रिकेट खेलते हुए रहना अच्छा है/ होता है।
To have been playing cricket is good.
=it is good to have been playing cricket.

Passive ( use of infinitive)
1. राम के द्वारा क्रिकेट खेला जाना अच्छा है ।
Cricket to be played by Ram is good.
= it is good for cricket to be played by Ram.
-ve.= it is not good for cricket..........
2. राम के द्वारा क्रिकेट खेलाया जाते रहना अच्छा है।
Cricket to be being played by Ram is good.
= it's good for cricket............
3. राम के द्वारा क्रिकेट खेलाया हुआ होना अच्छा है।
Cricket to have been played by Ram is good.
= it's good for cricket to have been played by Ram
4. राम के द्वारा क्रिकेट खेलाया जाते हुए रहना अच्छा है।
Cricket to have been being played by Ram is good.
= it's good for cricket to have been being played by Ram .
