عالم اسلام کو عرس اعلی حضرت مبارک ہو
مجدد دین و ملت امام اھل سنت شیخ الاسلام و المسلمین سیدنا سرکار اعلیٰ حضرت امام احمد رضا خان قادری برکاتی فاضل بریلوی قدس سرہ برصغیر پاک و ہند کی ان عبقری اور ہمہ گیر شخصیات میں سے ہیں، جن کی علمی و دینی خدمات نے عالمِ اسلام پر گہرے نقوش چھوڑے۔
آپ کا نام محمد، تاریخی نام المختار اور تخلص رضا تھا۔ آپ 10 شوال 1272ھ (مطابق 14 جون 1856ء) کو محلہ سوداگران، بریلی شریف (بھارت) میں پیدا ہوئے۔
آپ کا تعلق ایک معزز اور علمی گھرانے سے تھا۔ آپ کے والدِ ماجد مولانا نقی علی خان اور دادا مولانا رضا علی خان اپنے وقت کے جید عالمِ دین تھے۔
آپ نے محض 13 سال کی عمر میں مروجہ علومِ عقلیہ و نقلیہ کی تکمیل فرمائی اور فتاویٰ نویسی کا آغاز کیا۔
آپ بیک وقت مفسرِ قرآن، محدث، فقیہ، محقق، فلسفی، ماہرِ فلکیات اور شاعر تھے۔ آپ نے تقریباً پچاس سے زائد علوم پر کُتب تحریر فرمائیں۔
آپ کے عظیم علمی کارناموں میں فتاویٰ رضویہ ہے، جو فقہِ حنفی کا عظیم الشان انسائیکلوپیڈیا (تقریباً 30 جلدیں) ہے اور آپ کی فقہی بصیرت کا شاہکار ہے۔ اس کے علاوہ قرآن مجید کا اردو ترجمہ کنز الإيمان ہے، جو اپنی فصاحت، بلاغت اور عقائدِ حقہ کی پاسداری کی وجہ سے برصغیر میں سب سے زیادہ مقبول ہے۔ اسی طرح حدائقِ بخشش عشقِ رسول ﷺ میں ڈوبا ہوا آپ کا نعتیہ دیوان ہے، جو مقبولِ خاص و عام ہے۔
آپ نے چودھویں صدی ہجری کے مجددِ اعظم کی حیثیت سے پوری عمر مسلکِ اہلِ سنت و جماعت کی ترجمانی فرمائی، شرک و بدعت کے خلاف بھرپور علمی جہاد کیا اور سنتِ نبوی کے احیاء کے لیے گراں قدر خدمات انجام دیں۔
آپ کا وصال 25 صفر 1340ھ کو ہوا، اور آپ کا مزارِ پرنور بریلی شریف میں مرجعِ خلائق ہے۔

The Reviver of the Religion and the Nation, the Imam of Ahl al-Sunnah, the Shaykh al-Islam wa al-Muslimin, our Master and Patron, Aala Hazrat Imam Ahmed Raza Khan Qadri Barkati Fazil-e-Barelvi (May Allah sanctify his inner self) is among those genius and all-encompassing personalities of the Indo-Pak subcontinent whose scholarly and religious services have left deep marks on the Islamic world.
Your given name was Muhammad, your historical name was Al-Mukhtar, and your pen name (takhallus) was Raza. You were born on the 10th of Shawwal 1272 AH (corresponding to June 14, 1856 CE) in Mohalla Saudagaran, Bareilly Sharif (India).
You belonged to a noble and scholarly family. Your esteemed father, Maulana Naqi Ali Khan, and your grandfather, Maulana Raza Ali Khan, were prominent and accomplished religious scholars of their time.
At the tender age of just 13 years, you completed the traditional rational and transmitted sciences and commenced the issuance of religious edicts (Fatawa).
You were simultaneously a commentator of the Quran (Mufassir), a traditionist (Muhaddith), a jurist (Faqih), a researcher, a philosopher, an astronomer, and a poet. You authored books on approximately fifty or more sciences.
Among your greatest scholarly achievements is Fatawa Razawiyyah, which is a magnificent encyclopedia of Hanafi jurisprudence (spanning approximately 30 volumes) and a masterpiece of your jurisprudential insight. In addition to this, Kanz al-Iman is your Urdu translation of the Holy Quran, which is the most popular in the subcontinent due to its eloquence, rhetoric, and adherence to true beliefs. Similarly, Hada'iq-e-Bakhshish is your poetic collection of Naats deeply immersed in the love of the Prophet (ﷺ), widely acclaimed by both the elite and the masses.
As the Supreme Reviver (Mujaddid-e-Azam) of the 14th Islamic century, you spent your entire life representing the path of Ahl al-Sunnah wa al-Jama'ah, waged a profound scholarly jihad against polytheism (shirk) and innovation (bid'ah), and rendered invaluable services for the revival of the Prophetic Sunnah.
Your passing occurred on the 25th of Safar 1340 AH, and your radiant shrine in Bareilly Sharif remains a center of visitation for humanity.
