fast bowler's run-up biomechanics involve building linear momentum through rhythmic steps, transitioning it into rotational energy, and setting up the body for explosive power delivery, focusing on a controlled, not sprinting, approach that optimizes back foot contact (BFC) and front foot contact (FFC) for efficient energy transfer, leading to higher ball speeds and consistency.

Speed Agility and Co-ordination training (Change Direction Running with high knees )
Going through closed-skill drills, or change of direction training, helps you to understand the basics of eccentric strength for deceleration, body posture, limb angles, core engagement, and force application for re-acceleration, which ultimately translates into better agility.
When changing direction, the hip extensor muscles (adductor magnus, gluteus maximus, and hamstrings) similarly produce force while the foot is in contact with the ground. High knees target the lower-body muscles, including the quadriceps, glutes, hamstrings, and calves. You'll also use your abdominal muscles for stabilization.
So do proper warm-up before doing this type of training to avoid injury..
