Hike Fellowships in ICAR-Institutes Movement

Hi friends,
The ICAR soon will be announcing a fee revision in ICAR- Deemed Universities. The fee revision will be around 3 times of the existing structure. In the names of mere 25 % fellowship hike, which seems very huge to ICAR, gearing up to force the students to pay the revised fee structure. I request all the Students' Union/Council of respective ICAR-DU's to look into the issue.
If ICAR decides to revise the fee stucture, our demand should be to first hike the fellowship at par with UGC. Give a thought over it.

Unfortunately one of our admins, Dr. Subhash Yadav (President, IVRI- Student's Council) met with fatal accident at Lucknow yesterday. He succumb to injuries.

You must be aware that today IVRI has released JRF of 3 more months inspite of non release of JRF funds from ICAR...... Congratulations and thanks to all the students of IVRI, your one step has created difference........its just beginning.............IVRI student council is always with you......have faith on us and together we can change the whole scenario of agriculture and veterinary field..........

Once again all the students of ICAR-IVRI are humbly requesting to our colleagues from ICAR-NDRI, ICAR-IARI to come with us and be the part of the fight for respect and honour of our profession......

IVRI student council has given representation for hike of fellowship of research scholars doing Ph.D. & Masters from IVRI-ICAR to Hon. Prime minister, Finance minister, Agri. minister, Agri state minister, DG (ICAR), DDG (Edu., ICAR), DDG (Ani. Sci. ICAR) through fax and mail. We have also started post card campaign for the same. Today we are having a general body meeting to discuss our further strategy.

Here its humble request of all the researchers of ICAR-IVRI to our colleagues of ICAR-IARI and ICAR-NDRI to join us in this movement of fight of respect and honour for our profession....

Guys! Join him. Today is the 4th day of his indefinite hunger strike. Many other too have joined him with hunger strike in different parts across the country

My dear ICAR Deemed to be University Friends..Kindly make a note of the revised fee structures also along with the hiked Institute Fellowships..!!

ICAR in its website uploaded the revision in fellowship rates...it seems the revision is about 25 percent.. nonetheless, we view it as a starter...the fight for dignity, parity in fellowship with respect to other scientific research field is still on with new vigour... JAI HIND

The following matter could be useful in this regard...

"With humble submission, the student community of Agriculture and Veterinary sector solicit your kind intervention in the issue of hike in the fellowship awarded to the research scholars when compared to the UGC/DST/CSIR/ICMR, which is funding its research scholars with Rs. 25,000/- per month (revised from Rs. 16,000/-), the research scholars in this esteemed sector receiving from the ICAR a paltry sum of Rs. 12,000/- per month, which we feel is not a dignified one. Earnestly solicit the same."
