Some journeys begin with learning steps. Ours began with finding purpose. 🌸**

At Taamara, every class is a celebration of tradition, every lesson is an opportunity to grow, and every performance carries the joy of shared learning.

Every class, every rehearsal, every performance carries the same intention - to learn, to grow, and to stay connected to our roots through art.

This is the heart of Taamara.

And this is why we do what we do.

Watch as our founder, Shruthi Kezhakepuram Purushotham, shares the spirit behind Taamara.

Every child has their own rhythm. We help them discover it.

Watching a child grow is often about the little things - the smile after getting a step right, the excitement of coming to class, the eagerness to share what they've learnt at home.

For Diya, it was the excitement of learning, the warmth of her teachers and the happiness of being part of a space where she could simply be herself.

In this video, Gayathri shares her experience of seeing Diya enjoy these little moments through Taamara Dance Centre's Early Years program.

Our classes at TDC are designed to make learning feel natural and enjoyable, blending dance, music and imagination in a way that keeps children engaged while building strong foundations for the years ahead.

When learning feels like play, children don't just remember the steps - they remember how it made them feel.

“Looking for an Early Years dance class that nurtures more than just dance?”

Every child learns differently. Some need time. Some need encouragement. Some simply need a space where they feel safe enough to express themselves.

In this heartfelt testimonial, Mamtha shares how her daughter Mish*tha experienced Taamara Dance Centre’s Early Years program—not just as a dance class, but as a place to build confidence, joy and a love for learning.

At TDC, we believe the early years are not about creating performers. They are about nurturing curious, expressive and emotionally secure children through movement, music and storytelling.

If you’re looking for Early Years dance classes in JP Nagar, Bangalore, we’d love to welcome you.

Oh the thrill when the photographer has caught everyone with eyes wide open, complete mudras and all the perfect sways! That lands so differently!

Every performance is a step forward in a dancer’s journey.

Our teacher Vijisha represented Taamara Dance Centre with a graceful Mohiniyattam performance at KALE ALE, presented by Ahum Trust in association with Jalaposhan on 21st June.

We are proud to see our artists carrying the beauty of this classical tradition to meaningful community platforms. Here’s to many more stages, stories, and celebrations of dance.

Some journeys aren’t uninterrupted. They’re paused, challenged, tested… and still continue.

Pavithra’s story is one of resilience. Through exams, college, and life’s demands, she has always found her way back to dance—because dance isn’t just something she does, it’s a part of who she is.

Today, as she pursues her B.Com with the dream of working at one of the Big 4 firms, she also nurtures another dream: becoming a dance teacher. At Taamara Dance Centre, she already takes her first steps in that journey by assisting as a faculty, sharing her love for dance with younger students.

Her consistency, quiet strength, and determination remind us that you don’t have to choose between your dreams—you can grow them together.

Here’s Pavithra’s story. 🤍

Every artist begins with a single step. ✨

Just five months ago, Anokha walked into Taamara Dance Centre with a strong foundation in Bharatanatyam, a love for dance, and training in Carnatic music. Today, her commitment, warmth, and eagerness to learn have already made her an integral part of our classroom and stage.

At Taamara, we believe talent blossoms when it is nurtured with patience, consistency, and joy—not rushed. Watching Anokha embrace the grace, elegance, and storytelling of Mohiniyattam has been deeply rewarding, and this is only the beginning of her artistic journey.

Thank you, Anokha, for trusting us with your dance journey. We look forward to shaping not just a dancer, but a thoughtful artist in the years to come. ❤️

✨ Every journey begins with a single step. It continues because of consistency.

For the last four years, Chandra Prabha has quietly shown us what dedication truly looks like. Never the loudest in the room, but always one of the most committed. Week after week, class after class, she has grown into a stronger, more confident Mohiniyattam dancer.

In her own words, she shares how dance rekindled a childhood dream, became a source of strength through life’s many roles, and continues to bring her joy.

At Taamara Dance Centre, we believe that every dancer’s journey deserves to be celebrated—not just the performances, but the perseverance behind them.

Thank you, Chandra Prabha, for reminding us that progress isn’t always dramatic. Sometimes, it is simply showing up, with love, every single week. 🤍
