Delighted to share a Thani Avartana in Adi Tala, presented by my dear student, K*m. Lalanthika V, a talented 20-year-old from Chennai.

Along with her pursuit of Konnakkol, Lalanthika is undergoing training in Carnatic Vocal under the guidance of Vidwan Allepey Venkatesan. She is also diligently preparing for NEET, balancing her academic and artistic aspirations with commendable dedication.

Wishing Lalanthika continued success and fulfilment, in whichever path she chooses to pursue.

For the very first time, World Konnakkol Academy LLP conducted a 6-day exclusive Konnakkol Summer Camp, and my heart is overflowing with joy.. ❀️

It was truly heartwarming to see so many young minds come together with so much curiosity, energy and excitement to learn - experience this beautiful tradition. Arohy Studio Shaale echoed with rhythm, laughter and enthusiasm throughout the week..

One of the biggest highlights was the inspiring session by my Musicologist - Indian Music Therapist, Vidwan Sanak K*mar Athreya, who beautifully brought Indian music history alive through engaging stories and insightful discussions.. Another unforgettable experience was the spectacular percussion session by Multi Percussionist - Mridangam Vidwan Vinod Shyam Anoor, who introduced the children to 35+ instruments from all over the world, with incredible passion and brilliance.. He was ably supported by Vidwans - Prabodh Shyam & Ganesh..

What touched me the most was seeing the children eagerly wait to come back every single day, encouraged wholeheartedly by their parents ❀️ From Sollukattu lessons to fun-filled moments, from rhythmic learning to yummy snacks – every day truly felt like a celebration in itself..

Deeply grateful for this beautiful journey and to everyone who made this summer camp so memorable πŸ™

Special thanks to Lasya Priya Ravishankar Veda Venkatesh Bhat Pavithra Prashanth Ease Catalyst Kalashree Anand & Saanvi Jois πŸ™‚

My dear student, Smt. Siri Chandrashekar originally from Bengaluru and now based in the USA, presents an Alarippu in Trishra Jathi Dhruva Tala (3 + 2 + 3 + 3 = 11 Kriya) β€” a unique composition of her own.

Along with her dedicated Konnakkol training, Siri has been a long-standing disciple of Bharatanatyam Guru Shri Praveen K*mar and has also trained in Kathak under Guru Smt. Nirupama Rajendra. Academically, she holds a Master’s degree in MIS and continues to share her artistry by teaching both Bharatanatyam and Konnakkol.

Warm regards,
Konnakkol Somashekar Jois
