Guided by the divine blessings of Sri Sri Lord Dr. Prakashnatha Swamiji and the unwavering vision of Principal Dr. Malini M Dutta, the spirit of BGSNPS Hulimavu shone brilliantly at the 33rd Sri R.V. Devi Memorial Interschool Basketball Tournament organized by Sri Kumaran School. Battling with fierce determination, passion, and unity, our U-17 Boys team staged an extraordinary run all the way to the final against DPS South, ultimately bringing home the silver medal as proud Runners-Up. Every heart-pounding play reflected the countless hours of tireless preparation and heart instilled by Coaches Mr. Kumara P R and Mr. Naresh G, whose guidance inspired these young athletes to leave their souls on the hardwood and write a beautiful chapter of grit, teamwork, and athletic excellence.

Triumph belongs to those who step forward with devotion and a determined heart. Blessed by the divine grace of Dr. Sri Sri Prakashanatha Swamiji and encouraged by our inspiring, dynamic Principal, Dr. Malini M. Dutta, BGS National Public School, Hulimavu, hosted a memorable Inter-School Sports Meet. A breathless hush fell across the grounds as cricket enthusiast Sai Rochan J. took the first powerful step of the torch relay, passing the vibrant flame to tennis star Anushka Mandilwar, who carried it with fluid, baseline-to-baseline grace. Fellow cricketer Mrunali Jain swept forward with spirited intent, handing the light to chess strategist Saanvika, whose calm, deliberate focus mirrored a grandmaster on the board. The energy blossomed as cricketer Sashang Sangeeta Rao surged down the lane with athletic vigor, entrusting the baton to tennis player Aadiya, whose quick, nimble footwork lit up the track. Skater Ananya Pujar glided seamlessly into the pass with effortless momentum, finally placing the torch into the hands of cricketer Harikrishna Sivakumar, who made the triumphant final dash to light the cauldron, igniting the spirit of unity and youthful passion across the entire stadium.

A proud alumna of BGS National Public School, Aadya Naik is currently pursuing Electronics and Communication Engineering at BMS Institute of Technology and Management (BMSIT&M), Bengaluru.

During his school years, Aadya showcased exceptional leadership and sporting excellence as the Sports Captain, leading his team to victories in multiple basketball tournaments. He was also crowned Mr. BGS at BGS Utsav and played an important role in organising Carpe Diem, the school's inter-school sports fest.

With the divine blessings and visionary foresight of our Managing Director, Dr. Sri Sri Prakashnatha Swamiji, and under the able leadership and nurturing direction of our Principal, Dr. Malini M. Dutta, BGS National Public School recently opened its doors to an extraordinary guest, former NASA Astronaut Dr. Don Thomas. The campus buzzed with excitement as Dr. Thomas spent time with our students, genuinely touched by their warm courtesy, diligent work ethic, and boundless curiosity. Capturing the spirit of this special encounter, he gifted the school a signed note bearing a simple yet profound message: "Keep your eyes on the stars!" Elaborating on these words, Dr. Thomas shared heartfelt advice, reminding our young learners to keep their sight fixed firmly on their dreams, stay resilient against life's distractions, and strive towards their ambitions with heart and purpose. Showered with the grace and guidance of Sri Sri Lord Dr. Prakashnatha Swamiji alongside the steadfast encouragement of Principal Dr. Malini M Dutta, the young athletes of BGS National Public School, Hulimavu, delivered an extraordinary performance at the competitive football tournament hosted by Global International School on August 19, 2026. The U15 squad demonstrated total dominance from the start, charging through their league matches against Global International School Team A, The Cambridge International School, and Siddhant Public School with relentless skill. After defeating Chrysalis High School 2-0 in the semi-finals, they capped off their flawless run by overcoming Global International School, Bannerghatta 4-2 in the final to claim the championship title. Matching that brilliant energy, the U17 team showcased unwavering discipline through victories over Vyasa International School, Cambridge International School, and Al Basheer International School. In an epic final showdown against Nagarjuna School Yelahanka, the team battled through a dramatic 4-4 draw and a thrilling 5-5 penalty shootout, ultimately securing the championship trophy on a toss. Guided by the strategic coaching of Mr. Bikash Huiningshumbam, Mr. Stephen A, and Mr. Kishore K, both teams exemplified teamwork, grit, and the unbreakable spirit of champions.

Dutta, BGS National Public School, Hulimavu celebrated Independence Day and the Inter-House Sports Competition with soaring enthusiasm. The campus had the distinct honour of welcoming two extraordinary Guests of Honour: Major Deepak Raj (Veteran), a former Indian Army infantry commando and specialist in high-stakes warfare turned international executive coach, who inspired students by demonstrating how real-world courage transforms into lifelong leadership and service; and Capt.
