The Visveswarapura College of Law (V.V.Pura Law College) is one of the constituents of Karnataka State Law University, Hubli (KSLU) set up by Vokkaligara Sangha to provide facilities for Professional Education. This is one of the oldest institutions in Bangalore. The college was established in the year 1972 with a Three Year Law course. Later, in the year 1986, a Five Year Law course was introduce

Visveswarapura College of law was established in the year 1972 commencing with Three Year LL.B., Degree Course, morning and evening batches. Subsequently, in the year 1986, Five year BAL. LL.B., integrated course was also introduced. Today V.V.Pura College of Law has both 3 & 5 Year LL.B., courses. V.V.Pura College of Law is approved by the Bar Council of India (BCI), New Delhi and affiliated to the Karnataka State Law University (KSLU), Hubli. The College is situated in the heart of Bangalore City, K.R.Road, Bangalore-560 004. The distance from the college to Railway Station and Kempegowda Bus-stand is about 5 KM. The procedure for candidates seeking admission for various courses is detailed below:
Eligibility :
3 Year LL.B., Course:
A candidate seeking admission to First Year of 3 year LL.B., course should have passed an examination of 10+2+3 pattern. He should have passed Bachelors' degree in any discipline with 45% marks in aggregate (40% for SC/ST) of all three years put together. Also a candidate who possesses Bachelors' Degree through Open University/ Correspondence Course system is eligible. If he fails to get 45% (40% for SC/ST) aggregate in Bachelors' Degree but possesses the 2 year Post Graduate degree under Open University or through Correspondence scheme with 45% (40% for SC/ST) in aggregate is also eligible for admission to 1st Year of 3 Year LL.B., course. Documents required for admission:-
SSLC/ 10th and PUC/ 12th or 11+1(HSC), UG Degree, or PG Degree (Regular, Open or Correspondence course) Original marks statements along with 4 sets of photo copies. (Minimum Percentage: GM-45%, SC/ST/BT-40%)
Transfer certificate
5 passport size photos
Migration certificate (Non-Karnataka Students only)
Provisional Degree certificate/ Convocation certificate (original) with 4 sets of photo copies. Caste certificate (category-I, SC, ST, BT etc.,)
Eligibility certificate from KSLU, Hubli (Non-Karnataka Students only) (Format available in KSLU Website)
For Foreign students, Visa and Passport (original) along with 4 sets of photo copies.
5 Year LL.B., Course:
A Candidate seeking admission to First Year of 5 year LL.B., course should have passed an examination of 10+2 or 11+1 pattern of schooling or JOC/ Diploma (2 Years) and should have secured 45% (SC/ST 40% marks)
The Principal reserves powers to reject admission to any candidate without assigning reasons. Documents required for admission:-
SSLC/ 10th and PUC/ 12th or 11+1(HSC), JOC/Diploma( 3 Years) original marks statements along with 4 sets of photo copies(Minimum Percentage: GM-45%, SC/ST/BT-40%)
Transfer certificate
5 passport size photos
Migration certificate (Non-Karnataka Students only)
Caste certificate (category-I, SC, ST, BT etc.,)

Down load application form from the college website and submit the duly filled in form with necessary testimonials personally. Admission application forms and prospectus can be had from the college also on payment of prescribed fees. Karnataka state law University application forms can also be downloaded from KSLU website and used for admission to our college. FACILITIES:
Campus
The college has an independent campus. The college is situated in the heart of Bangalore City K.R.Road, V.V.Puram, Bangalore-04, very near to K.R.Market & KIMS Hospital. The distance from Railway Station & Majestic Bus Stand is 5 KM. Library
The Library is the backbone of any legal education institution. The college library is completely equipped with text books and periodicals. This enables the faculty and students to access to necessary information for all subjects. Students can refer and borrow books. The Legal Aid Centre
The college Legal Aid Centre provide opportunities for students to interact with common people. Students go to various places to solve legal problems amicably through conciliation. This center renders services to the needy and creates awareness about law. Legal literacy campus are held every year to disseminate knowledge of basic laws. Computers
