of SHIVA” organized by School of Photography & FRAMEBOXX INDIA. Limited Seats only 30 Participants (25 Seats Available)

BANARAS… Land of SHIVA is an endeavor of Frameboxx India (www.frameboxx.in) & School Of Photography, Bangalore for all the photographic enthusiasts to cover the major holy event on the eve of MAKARSHAKRANTI in Varanasi http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Makar_Sankranti and capturing the golden moments for the lifetime. This is not only a Photographic tour but an opportunity to enhance the photography skills with on the field assistance by professional photographers.

**Purpose**
The approach of the workshop is designed in a way through which participants will try and learn about how to improve visual awareness while shooting anywhere and especially covering the major festivals of INDIA. The main focus of the workshop will be to prepare the participants to shoot all types of lighting conditions early foggy morning , evening , night and in the afternoon during harsh light.

**Tour**
This workshop is going to take place in various places of Varanasi and also meeting with some renowned photographers of Varanasi and sharing their experiences and knowledge with the group. All the participants have to reach Varanasi by 12th Jan 2014 before 12pm. Day01 * 12th Jan2014
• Check-in by 12o’clock to the hotel.
• 3pm meeting and introduction Session with Team.
• 4 pm meeting with local Varanasi’s renowned photographers.
• Sunset photography on Ganga Ghats. (5.30pm onwards)
• Capturing world fame GANGA AARTI.
• Head towards hotel also capturing Varanasi at Night. Day02* 13th Jan2014
• Early morning Visit the oldest temple of Kashi Vishwanath and photography at Ganga Ghats.
• 11am Trip to Varanasi Street and Photography.
• Lunch and review Session 2pm-4pm. And back to Hotel.
• 5pm capturing Manikarnika Ghat, the place where 24x7 creamination goes on.
• Dinner at Hotel by 9.30Pm and Review Session
Day03* 14th Jan2014
• Early morning (to be decided as per the weather and the forecast of Sunrise) sunrise photography at Ganga Ghats and Capturing the Makar-Sankranti Holy Dip in Ganga.
• 12pm head towards Ramnagar Fort and Lunch on the way, Photography in Ramgarh till 5pm.
• Evening Session & Photowalk of different Ghats in late evening
Day*4 15th Jan2014
• 7am head towards Sarnath and Photowalk and review Session uptill 1pm.
• 2pm back to Varanasi and we can leave for our home.
The stay will be at Hotel Varuna, very cozy and comfortable stay on twin sharing basis. ( http://www.varunahotels.com/)
The stay will Include-
Pick from railway station / airport
Local sightseeing. (3 breakfast and 3 dinners)
Drop service to airport / railway station with breakfast and dinner per person on twin sharing. Lunch will be charged for all Participants so they have to pay for their lunch.

**Mentor**
1. Aslam Saiyad-
Aslam Saiyad is an award-winning photographer who holds a degree in Automobile Engineering and has worked in automobile companies before his interest in machine designing led him into the world of photography. Aslam Saiyad specializes in social documentary photography, environmental portraiture, editorial photography, photo stories and travel photography. He is a fellow of the prestigious MAGNUM MENTORSHIP PROGRAMME that was held in Singapore in 2012. His pictures have been represented in various national and international galleries and exhibitions including the prestigious National Geography Photo Contest ‘WINNING SHOTS’. He is a traveler at heart who is urban in nature and modern in thoughts. He prefers to shoot and sweat in the vibrant rustic rural than to enjoy the comforts of a gray urban locale. People, culture, food and language have always enticed him. At present Aslam Saiyad heads the photography department and is also the technical head at Frameboxx. When not in the city, he is usually working in the field of National Geographic Documentaries in the capacity of the photographer.

**Recommendations**
As in January North India will be very cold and chilly so all the participants are advised to bring warm clothes with them preferably Heavy jackets, Skarf, Monkey Cap & hand Gloves. Also recommended that please bring Tripods & extra batteries with them. So See you all in the oldest city of the world.
